Brickbat: The Best Part of Waking Up

The South Korean government has decided it will ban the sale of coffee in schools, even to teachers, beginning Sept. 14. The move is aimed at reducing caffeine consumption among students, who are said to drink excess amounts during exam periods. But critics note students can easily buy coffee and other caffeinated drinks off campus.

Ha. Hahahaha. Dream on, fools. You have no power here.
going to be quite the standoff when the students and teachers just sit there staring at each other with "dont talk to me until i've had my coffee" mugs prominently displayed on their desks.
I see a business opportunity here. Coffee shops next to schools....
Oh right the nanny state.
Wait...Koreans?
No can't be. This must be fake. Canada or Europe, California maybe.
Just by caffeine pills. If you're a junkie, own it. Much cheaper.
Or, if your from Missouri, meth.
Liquid Caffeine Concentrate
I dunno how they did it, but the stuff actually doesn't add a bitter taste to things, despite raw caffeine being pretty damned bitter.
And Kim Jun Booker stood up and declared:
"I am Starbuckus"
No, I'm Starbickus!
Can we get a Brickback up to 200 comments with 190 of them being

They could try banning the stereotypical demanding Asian parents.
There is no such thing as too much caffeine.
Junk science, fake news.
What is this "coffee" you speak of?
/ North Koreans
But critics note students can easily buy coffee and other caffeinated drinks off campus.
This is true, of course, and presumably those critics know the conditions at the Korean schools, but we weren't allowed off campus during the day when I was in grade school. So it would have been an effective deterrent there.
And too, if it's not "on campus", it's less convenient. It will most likely reduce consumption among some students. Only the ones who properly plan ahead will be able to remain caffeinated. Which is just a vicious cycle. 😉
Why don't they just say 'no coffee during exams', or even 'no coffee in the classroom'? Why they gotta go full bruno and say no selling coffee in school? Next thing you know, there'll be a black market in coffee in the school halls. Exchanges will take place out in the playground and parking lot. When coffee is outlawed, only outlaws will have coffee.
More progressive logic that fails all logical tests.
