Brickbat: Think of the Children

The security video from the Manatee County, Florida, school bus shows Anabelle Hunting, 5, crying as another student repeatedly slaps her and pulls her hair and other students throw a plush toy belonging to Hunting around the bus. But bus aide D'Mari Martin does nothing to stop the bullying of Hunting, who reportedly suffers from developmental delays and a communications disorder. Instead, she's more intent on finding her missing phone. The school system did not notify Hunting's mother of the attack for over a week and charged her $60 for a copy of the video.

The objective value of a phone is a little bit higher than that of a push toy. What kind of libertarian publication is this, anyway?
Don't you ever sleep, Fist?
Or maybe the question is don't I ever not sleep.
This is fucking disgusting on multiple levels.
First, by stuffing a bunch of kids into an institution, this kind of behavior is fostered (regardless of whether the institution is public or private.)
Second, the bus aide didn't get AIDS for being an ostensibly stolid bitch.
Fuck you, whore.
Third, charging the victim's family money to see a piss copy of a video in 20-motherfucking-18 is a nice cherry on top of this bloody abortion sundae. (And to be clear, I'm talking about the Korean sundae.)
Even if you weren't before, you are now.
"I'm not that kind of person," she said.
True. She is not kind at all.
"I'm not that kind of person," she said.
Qualified? Competent?
fta
the state Department of Children and Families issued her a certificate in "identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect"
The certification test was signing your name?
I thought we all agreed bullying is good for kids. Makes 'em tough.
God created kindergarteners but Samuel Colt made them equal.
The education lobby created kindergarteners, God created mothers.
Life is cruel. Better that they get a taste of how to handle life early on.
"The school system did not notify Hunting's mother of the attack for over a week and charged her $60 for a copy of the video."
I predict the civil trial will result in a payment to Hunting's mother in the amount of $1,000,060.
My daughter's behavior problems started when she first rode the school bus. She still talks about it. Children are cruel.
Teaching moment.
I doubt it will happen, but I hope the parents of the hair-pulling/slapping kid actually do that to their own kid. See how they like it. I would be appalled to have a child with such character defects as that.
I'm not a hateful person, but goddamn do I hate bullies. They suck, and they disproportionately grow up to become our "authority figures." Better to nip that in bud if possible.
She likely learned that behavior at home. Lot's of kids have shitty parents.
I hope the parents of the hair-pulling/slapping kid actually do that to their own kid.
They can't that would be child abuse.
After watching that video is it any wonder that kids snap and shoot up their school? I felt like I was in a pressure cooker just watching, and I could turn the volume down.
It would be interesting to see what $600 and a random selection from ten different days of bus video would reveal.
Heartbreaking more than interesting.
Dam - I'm in the wrong line of business; I should have been selling school bus videos for $50 a pop, would have undercut the competition and made a fortune.

Well, i hope the screen was cracked.
