Brickbat: You Didn't See That

The Oregon State Police SWAT Team normally wears body cameras, but they weren't wearing them when Robert "Lavoy" Finicum's truck was stopped in 2016. According to a motion filed by prosecutors, the FBI had told them not to. FBI agent W. Joseph Astarita shot and killed Finicum during the stop. Astarita is charged with three counts of making false statements and two counts of obstruction of justice.

Doesn't the Oregon State Police know it's unpatriotic to even suggest wrongdoing by the FBI? Doesn't Reason, for that matter?

The FBI lied and someone died? Must have been a Tuesday.

It's still early.
It's not like they botched the hair analysis in over 100 capital murder cases for decades, or hired a serial killer as an under cover informant.
How is it that the FBI can set conditions for the state SWAT team? Isn't the correct response to invite the fbi to go it alone?
Probably some "revenue sharing" going on, so the locals need the FBI if they're going to get a share of the spoils.
Almost certainly this--Follow the money.

Any normal American asserting a self-defense claim would have to convince a trier of fact that deadly force was reasonable even though the assailant never had a weapon in a position to do harm nor threatened to hurt law enforcement at the scene.
Benefits of being a murderer-for-hire, I guess.
Didn't that seem a little suspicious to LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS?
