Planning officials in Peterborough, New Hampshire, are considering banning all drive-through windows. The town already bans drive-throughs at restaurants. Now, the planning board is looking at extending the ban to banks and pharmacies.

    Live Free or Pedestrian Infrastructure

    1. Robert   7 years ago

Is a drive-thru "hugely destructive of pedestrian infrastructure" because it cuts a-x the sidewalk twice? Or because it's psychically destructive of it?

  2. gaoxiaen   7 years ago

Walk or do without. Fuck those cripples. Peterborough, New Hampshire must have excess parking spaces that aren't paying off and handicapped access ramps everywhere,

    1. Fist of Etiquette   7 years ago

Peterborough wants to maintain ye olde quaintness. There were no wheelchairs back during better times.

    Because reasons.

Democrats fleeing Massachusetts and moving to New Hampshire to live free unless told not to...

    1. Rebel Scum   7 years ago

The problem is that leftism is virus. People vote for all manner of bad policies, which makes their townes/states shitty. The realize it is shitty, then move to greener pasture elsewhere. They bring their politics with them and the cycle continues.

      1. Agammamon   7 years ago

Then we need to end the 'open borders regime' that exists.

    2. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

I was always amazed that New Hampshire kept freedom somewhat going with so many lefties nearby in New England.

      I guess that's changed.

  5. Fuck you, Shikha (Nunya)   7 years ago

Did they notice that it gets cold there in winter. Certainly makes me want to get out of the car without reason.

    1. Agammamon   7 years ago

Of course not - that's what interns and staffers are for.

What? You don't have interns and staffers to run errands for you? Then you shouldn't have chosen to not be a politician then, should you?

  6. Rebel Scum   7 years ago

Land of the something and home of the something else.

    Hey, town officials: ban THIS!

    *makes obscene gesture*

    1. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

That's a good one but it would have been funnier if you included driving up:

      "Hey, town officials: ban THIS!

*drives up to city hall* and *makes obscene gesture*

      1. Longtobefree   7 years ago

Please note that obscene gestures are protected under the first amendment; therefore making one will get you arrested.

  8. Conchfritters   7 years ago

    Racist

  9. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

Live free or accept lefty rules in new Hampshire.

  10. Longtobefree   7 years ago

Next on the agenda: How to deal with all the frozen people in wheelchairs outside of business establishments.

  11. Brandybuck   7 years ago

New Hampshire, the libertarian state. They didn't get the memo.

  12. crufus   7 years ago

The town is about 6 miles by 6 miles. I guess you have to drive about five minutes to reach all the fast food places with drive through windows just outside the city limits.

  13. Kivlor   7 years ago

    Libertarian Moment!

  14. Arcxjo   7 years ago

Without government, who would build the roads with nowhere to drive to on?

  15. BigT   7 years ago

Drive through Peterborough without stopping. That's how you boost the economy!
