Denying the antisocial students their wasteful profits is the only way to heighten the contradictions of the State Capitalist school system sufficiently to cause its collapse and finally usher in True Socialism. The revolution will not be vilified.

If only teachers - who are the real heroes - were paid as much as pro athletes... we would see a host of different problems.

      1. Brandybuck   7 years ago

If only teachers were paid according to national performance, just like pro athletes...

    Chicago, you say?
Too bad my shocked face is in the laundry.

I wonder if Chicago being a city that simply oozes generations of corruption and crime has any influence on the ethics of your average government employee?

    1. Jerryskids   7 years ago

It's the Chicago way - they buy a knife, you buy a steak.

"Also, the employee donated two mares to a school horse breeding program but was eligible to receive breeder's awards if horses foaled at the school eventually won races."

    Chicago school system??!!
I think they have more problems than a few pension-less underpaid teachers trying to survive by sneaking a few student perks for themselves.

  6. Texasmotiv   7 years ago

I'll bet they told the teachers at the beginning of the year that if NO ONE gets and A you can keep the cards. That way they set up their lesson plan accordingly for maximum benefit.

  7. Conchfritters   7 years ago

    BAU for Chicago.

Because being entitled to a position and salary in no way changes your beliefs about what should be yours.
