A young man makes a cogent argument in favor of house parties.
While doing a keg stand?
Partay!
"Captain of my water polo team" and "amped on chugging with my boys" and "it was epic and I was super stoked" are just some of what you'll read in the transcript.
Woah bruh!
He also gave his name as Chad Kroeger.
Or was it Chad, who works at Kroeger?
Hard to believe Sean Penn was Spicoli, since he has no sense of humor now.
Someone is going to have to explain this to me.
It explains itself.
Sarah Elizabeth Cupp is an American conservative political commentator with an unfortunate moniker. Is that sufficient?
Mistype? Or sensory psychosis mixed with uncontrollable hallucinogens?
Is she responding to the wrong tweet?
That seems more plausible than any interpretation of that being a response to the tweet.
click on her page there and she says she responded to the wrong tweet.
You're not the boss of me.
Hello.
Do you even work?
Rufus runs a daycare in Quebec. I know that sounds like something i'd make up, but it totally isn't.
Bloody crazy I know.
If only they knew I frequent this place.
Every Skenazy article is just further evidence against you.
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty mulls running for Al Franken's seat.
Six-year vs. four-year terms? Yeah, he's done the math.
2 pensions instead of just 1.
wasn't he running for president at one point?
He just wants out of Minnesota.

"While she enjoyed access to the congressman before the incident, that access was revoked afterward, she told Republican leaders."
That phrasing sort of makes me feel queasy.
"Oh, very well. She enjoyed access to the member of congress, then."
Trump's travel ban had its day in court today.
Trademark court. It's officially Muslim Ban.
"Made for a woman, but strong enough for a man."
That doesn't mean she isn't telling the truth on the rest of it from 40 years ago.
If this were a court case (criminal or civil), altering evidence like this would probably be enough to get her case laughed out of court and her attorney sanctioned for misconduct. In the court of public opinion, we're back to "fake but accurate" which will probably be enough for people who were troubled about voting for Moore because of the allegations to vote for him next week with a clear conscience.
A high school girl wrote in her own yearbook? GASP!
You think she did it back then or recently? Moore shouldn't be voted in but Gloria Allred needs #metoo'ed for all the people she's raped mentally and financially.
It seems like she made the notation at the time. I can't figure out what difference it makes, other than she attributed incorrectly that line to Moore, which on the surface looks bad enough to cast doubt.
Moore is more(he hee) likely a sicko but it doesn't help that all the usual suspects jump in to cloud it along with the allegations coming out at such an inconvenient time. It all stinks. All sides.

Special-education teacher accused of sex with student in her
Hubba-hubba.
Franks and beans.
She was a Special Sex Education teacher.
Kinda figured that's where the Franks thing was going.
Yeah, but are you on record as having kinda thought that?
Which is funny because, despite the claim of the links, it doesn't really provide many more details.
It does explain why the staffers were creeped out enough to complain.
It does explain why the staffers were creeped out enough to complain.
It literally explains that it wasn't clear to them and we already knew it was creepy enough to complain about.

Not really.
Wolf whistling could become hate crime in London
First, even werewolf whistling.
A hate crime is considered to be any incident where someone is targeted because of their identity ....
It can take any shape and is not always illegal behaviour, officers say.
Well, so much for the advertising industry.
Also, please note that "a hate crime is not always illegal behavior".
Fist, can you explain that?
British law in general, and that of London in particular, is based on the notion that 1984 was an instruction manual.
A hate crime can be of such magnitude that the laws of man are not sufficient to deal with it. It is, instead, a hate crime... AGAINST NATURE.
A young man makes a cogent argument in favor of house parties.

Oh, for cute!
King Charles I?
"The most interesting thing about King Charles the First is that he was 5 foot 6 inches tall at the start of his reign, but only 4 foot 8 inches tall at the end of it."
Maximilien Robespierre?
Geese that saved Rome?
Man, he defends anyone.
Never pictured Judd as a hermit.
And should he be discussing how much he likes somebody who molested their sister when she was a baby?
My kitten is licking my head right now. What should I do?
Claim harassment, get paid.
You pet the hell out of that motherfucker. Scratch it gently right between the goddamn ears.
Purr purr motherfucker!

My kitten is licking my head right now. What should I do?
Gently grab the nearest pillow, being careful not to scare it away, and press down firmly with it until it stops moving. Then, take the several hundred, if not thousands, of dollars I saved you on an animal that can't possibly love you and go buy some alcohol.
Which head?
Um, lick it back?

Many song lyrics seem kind of dumb when they're simply recited.
Or is this not a song lyric, but a stand-alone poem?
It takes talent to make the bland sound epic.
Specifically talented producers who can make anything sound good.
Someone's got it in for me
They're planting stories in the press
Whoever it is I wish they'd cut it out quick
But when they will I can only guess
They say I shot a man named Gray
And took his wife to Italy
She inherited a million bucks
And when she died it came to me
I can't help it if I'm lucky
There once was a man name of Slocum
Who spread honey over his scrotum
Blah blah blah blah blah
Blah blah blah blah blah
I hope nobody named Slocum thinks this is about them
What does the hedge part add to the maze metaphor? Life is like a maze that is in rich people's back yards? That is green? C-. See me after class.

More details in the Trent Franks scandal emerge.
Silly me, when I hear 'more details' with regard to a Congressional Scandal I think, 'more facts' or 'more specific allegations' not just 'more words explaining the same vague allegations'.
Yeah, so far I'm not seeing anything. He asked a staffer if she'd be willing to be a surrogate. He didn't ask to fuck her from anything presented so far and I'd assume, if looking for a surrogate, you'd want somebody you know and are familiar with if possible.
"Roy Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson wrote part of the inscription left by the Senate candidate in her year book."
...and there's this from the article:
"Moore, who went on to become a judge and then the chief justice of the Alabama State Supreme Court, later ruled against Nelson in a 1999 divorce case."
Hmmm...well, the accusation hasn't been definitively disproved yet, so let's keep running with it. /sarc
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty mulls running for Al Franken's seat.
Which is a sexual assault if someone snaps a photo of it.
Whoops, thread fail.
You were trying to spice up the subject of Pawlenty by connecting it to a more interesting story.
What does it mean to be ruled against in a divorce case? He forced her to stay married?
I'm going to take a wild guess and speculate it was about child custody or money.
Which is why the phrase "as honest as a party to a divorce proceeding" has passed into a proverb. /sarc

He humiliated and demeaned me': New Dustin Hoffman accuser comes forward to claim he harassed and physically violated her FOR MONTHS during 1984 Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman
Lol
Method acting or acting method?
A woman who acted in a Broadway play opposite Dustin Hoffman spoke out on Friday to say he groped her on stage nightly and refused to stop even when she tearfully pleaded with him to leave her alone.
He sounds like a royal douche, but she sounds like a doormat.
Dustin Hoffman is the Willie Loman of sexual harassers.
I watched the video on that AZ cop shooter. Hard to watch.
But here's some humor to lighten the mood.
What's the difference between a cop and a roofer?
Roofers have a more dangerous job, and don't whine about it.
When roofers mess up they get fucked up.
When cops mess up they fuck you up.
Nice. Permutable, too!
/slowclap
When you make a roofer mad at you he doesn't fill the newspaper delivery lady's truck full of bullets.
The FBI is investigating the Cuomo administration's practice of hiring employees to work in the governor's office, while actually paying them through various state agencies and public authorities
Gee, apparently Andrew *is* getting ready to run for president!
Please put that dirty motherfucker in prison.
Dirty mother fucker was my ni... oh wait.

CNN just armed Trump with new ammunition to launch another 'fake news' attack
Oops!
That's a weird headline. It's that we're 'arming Trump!", not that CNN might be a bad actor here.
Isn't Wikileaks available to everyone? Isn't that sort of the point?
A one-digit mistake by CNN
And the "mistake" just happens to turn Jr's receipt of wikileaks spam after they released the documents into collusion-proving advance notice.
The "fake news" label suggests intentional deception, but there is no evidence that this was anything but a mistake.
Very well then, at best they're just incompetent hacks who unintentionally spout fake news. Not much better.
Plus, The Post's report on the true date of the email is an example of how the press often polices itself ? contrary to conspiratorial notions of a "corrupt cabal,"
Or perhaps they've shifted tactics. CNN reports an extremely damaging false story on a Friday morning, based on a very minor tweak to the facts. This false story gets retweeted innumerable times and becomes fact in the minds of many people. WaPo "discovers" the "mistake" in a Friday night newsdump, which barely gets noticed or retweeted -- likewise the CNN "correction". Net effect: tons of people believe more strongly in the Russia collusion narrative. Any corrupt cabal worth its salt would count that as a win... and if you think that WaPo and CNN reporters don't talk to each other, run and catch up to that turnip truck.
Accuser presents the alleged rapist's handwriting as evidence, effectively represents it as written entirely by him, then later admits that part of it was written by her.
WaPo and MSM friends - "this doesn't prove she forged it"
What the hell? She admitted to forgery. If she's telling the truth, she didn't forge his signature. But even so, she forged parts of that inscription.
The LAPD only admitted to planting one glove. The other belonged to the real killer, no doubt.
Did they? Thought it just came out that the cop said racist things one time and hence was not politically correct enough to be believed about anything.
Is it forgery to add text to a signed document after it's been signed?
No, though it's certainly weird that she at first read the whole thing as if Moore wrote it, then after reflection decided that some of it was written by herself.
It's certainly *possible* Moore groped her and she just stumbled in giving certain details...I mean it's not a total Perry Mason style slam dunk against her, but let's just say it diminishes her credibility.
Yes, unlike fiction, reality is messy and there's always details to cherry pick for people who have an explanation they prefer. She could be basically telling the truth but taking it too far and lying to try and ensure justice. Or it could be a fantasy she made up and told her friends (and manufactured evidence about to impress them), about having an affair with this local dude that was known to be into teenage girls.
Weigel fired from WaPo. Again. Reason needs to bring him back. Somebody at Reason needs to criticize Trump!
