Brickbat: This Will Send Your Blood Pressure Soaring

The Toledo, Ohio, SWAT team raided Alfred Miller's home, killing his two dogs and doing thousands of dollars worth of damage. They seized just one pill, for high blood pressure. The name on the search warrant was Joe McDuffey. Miller says he doesn't know who that is. Cops will only say this is an ongoing an investigation

This is your nation on drug war.
Exactly what does REASON expect readers to do with this information? I had similar tyranny where I lived. I went to meetings and held the rulers up to ridicule. I caused so much harm that I was sued- case dropped, chased out of meetings for insulting the rulers, had an order of protection against me. These are my badges of pride. I acted alone without a team.
Fighting against the tyrants means harming the tyrants. Your best weapon is an insulting mouth. You don't have to hide and wait for the revolution.
I do assure you, Mrs. Buttle, the Ministry is very scrupulous about following up and eradicating any error. If you have any complaints which you'd like to make, I'd be more than happy to send you the appropriate forms.
Well done, Rat.
I was reminded of the same movie: "I only know you got the wrong man."
"Information Transit got the wrong man. I got the *right* man. The wrong one was delivered to me as the right man, I accepted him on good faith as the right man. Was I wrong? "
Alfred Miller Joe McDuffey
Good shoot.
But did all the officers make it home safely? That's the most important thing.
I wish that none of the officers made it home safely.
Police said Miller's is the house they were looking for and the name on warrant is correct.
Keep in mind that Toledo is where the clerk of courts was handing out invalid warrants for years - Mata issued arrest warrants without making any probable cause determination. This has allegedly been the practice in the Toledo Municipal Court for at least seventeen years. Mata later testified that she does not know what probable cause is, and that she has no qualifications to make such a determination.
If they only had a little more training, everything would be OK.
It doesn't matter if the police thugs had the wrong house or the right house. This should not be taking place under the banner of law enforcement.
"Cops will only say this is an ongoing an investigation"
They sound thorough. Maybe they should be the ones to investigate Al Franken.
Any law enforcement officer requesting a no-knock warrant should have to put up a $10k bond using his own money. If he blows it this badly, he loses his money.
Cops don't care about due diligence because when they're wrong, they aren't the ones to pay the price. If we want them to do a better job we just need them to have some skin of their own in the game.
Also we should end the war on drugs. The cure is worse than the disease.
Family members of cops should be taken as hostages. When something like this happens ten of them should be thrown into the chipper. I would call this zero tolerance.
Cocker spaniel lives matter.
Two dead dogs,
Nine broken windows,
Four broken doors,
No resistance.
" . . . were following standard procedure"
Yet another reason to NOT live in Ohio.
Where are the democrats with all their outrage? Is the silence because the races of the cops and victim don't line up?
My God! Look at all that stimulus!
Cops will only say this is an ongoing an investigation...
As they look for some charge to justify this.
Resisting arrest without knowledge?
Resisting arrest while asleep?
Living in the wrong house?
Felony embarrassment of a police officer?
Show me the man and I'll find you the crime.
