Netflix halts 'House of Cards' Season 6 production in wake of Kevin Spacey accusation.
But they had a new storyline, ripped right from today's headlines!
Hello.
Netflix halts 'House of Cards' Season 6 production in wake of Kevin Spacey accusation.
They "halted" that well before Spacey's drunken homosexual attempted rape revelation. They announced months ago that season six was the end of the line.
And they haven't announced that Spacey is being replaced in Season Six either.
The House of cards already fell apart last season. The show went from interesting that the media would show corrupt Democrats for the murdering and conniving politicians that they are and almost get caught to just unbelievable nonsense.
Trump promises tax reform for Christmas.
Lump of coal tax credits.
Not really a tax cut for most people, just a lower rate and fewer deductions to cancel out the rate cut (if any). Mostly a ruse to provide most of the benefit to big business.
Because big business doesn't provide any benefit to anybody....
Trump promises tax reform for Christmas.
Maybe he'll have figured out how to pay for it by then.
You're going to get grief for that.
None of us care about deficits. There's like one guy from some flyover state or some shit. Let's all party and die in debt!!!
White House defends Chief of Staff John Kelly's Civil War comments, calls criticism 'disgraceful'.
Double down on it. What do you have to lose at this point, I guess.
Why would he apologize? Nothing he said was wrong and the constant demands for apologies is bullshit. Lee was probably the most anti-slavery general in the war and a lack of compromise did lead to the Civil War.
I agree that in the current climate, yielding to demands for apologies is the worst thing to do.
OK, second-worst, the worst would be starting a global thermonuclear war. But letting the lying hypocritical media extort apologies from you is bullshit.
If this were a seminar on Civil War history, I'd say that a compromise might have worked, but it would have involved giving a lot more influence to slaveowners over public policy. Either by giving them more control over the U. S. or letting them create their own slave country.
So, while it is strictly defensible to say compromise would have worked, you have to balance out the not-having-a-war thing with the costs of yielding to what some called the Slave Power.
But any attempt at nuance is going to get lost, so the best thing is to say "screw you, I ain't apologizing for shit!"
Compromise is an often lauded ideal. But really people only like it when others are compromising towards their beliefs.
The obvious compromise would have been letting the CSA secede, then welcoming any runaway self-freed immigrants and granting them USA citizenship.
Most anit-slavery general was probably the Union's John Fremont. Look it up. Of course, Lincoln canned him for his views.
Lincoln canned him because he was incompetent-Jackson kicked him all over the Shenandoah valley.
Why would he apologize?
Because snowflake feelings are all that matter these days.
One can disagree on whether a compromise was still possible, and what a compromise should have looked like. But to call a suggestion that compromise was possible says that war was the only moral outcome at that point outside of complete submission by one faction.
It appears Britches was shamed somewhat by the veritable explosion Shaka Khan brought to the links yesterday.
Somewhat.
I appreciate that he "accidentally" left the photo credit in the top bullet point. There's a craft to his hatred, you believe me.
BRITCHES!!!!!!!
/shakes fist in futile effort
Him being our Halloween poster is so appropriate. His is an existential horror. Like the Road. It just leaves you empty and knowing that it is all pointless. The truest Halloween fright fest!
Halloween is a pagan holliday that Christian does not acknowledge.
Kid in costume: "Trick or treat!"
Christian Britschgi: "Trick." [slams door, turns off porch light, turns on sprinklers]
I just hand out copies of Atlas Shrugged.
I just love his mastery of the English language.
Yo, Britches!
Just what was Spacey accusing Netflix of doing?
I'm just glad he can fight through the ennui to post something resembling links.
Aloysious,
What did I miss? Why is there such a seeming dislike of Christian Britschgi?
We all love him. His links are hate-fucks that are necessary for us to know our place in life.
No hate, at least not from me. He's a noob, so I engage in the time honored tradition of busting his balls.
Thanks for your explanation, Aloysious.
DISLIKE??????
Seething Hate of all Perdition is more like it.
1. Not enough links.
2. No explanatory text accompany said links.
3. Lack of alt text.
Thanks for your explanation, CE.
We certainly get Christian a lot. I feel like he volunteers for the job just to show how much he dislikes us.
He should know that only makes me love him even more though. Christ be with You, Christian.
Former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont flees to Brussels.
The Spaniards have denied the EU a whole new member.
They were gonna chop off his dick? Man, the punishment for sedition is severe.
No, they were going to chop of his whole body. In the end he was just going to be a dick.
NO ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH
oh, bugger.
Maybe they need a compromise to avoid a civil war?
You know who else fled to Belgium?
Time for spooky and depressing or Halloween related songs:
Whenever I kill myself it will be to this song!!!
If you haven't heard it, here is the original version of the legendary Halloween Hit The Monster Mash!!!
The Ramones were really bad at appearing to give a shit
The Ramones were truly the Christian Britschgi of punk.
Haha, their songs were always the shortest socially acceptable length.
So that means that Anal Cunt was actually the Christian of punk?
Here's to hoping Britches lasts as long as a Spinal Tap drummer ...

They sure don't make rebels like they used to. If I were a Catalan and they sent him back, I'd shoot him in the head.
Someone doesn't like the new bike lanes.
We need to do something about fake guns.
Was that rented truck properly licensed, or was it one of the free range varieties?
Gay said he stuck his head around the corner and saw a slender man in a blue track suit running southbound on West Street holding a gun. He said there was a heavyset man pursuing him.
He said he heard five or six shots and the man in the tracksuit fell to the ground, gun still raised in the air. He said a man came over and kicked the gun out of his hand.
You don't even really need to read further than the bolded area to figure out which one was the cop.
in a blue track suit running southbound on West Street holding a gun. He said there was a heavyset man pursuing him.
Over under on the motives of a guy wearing an Adidas track suit?
According to the right-wing Islamophobes at the NY Times: "two law enforcement officials said that after the attacker got out of the truck, he was heard yelling, "Allahu Akbar." (Arabic for "God is great.")"
I'm willing to wait longer on that investigation. I'm not going to just start trusting cops now.
It may be false report, but that would certainly mark a new low for the NYT - reporting fake news which *contradicts* its narrative rather than supporting it.
Perhaps for the NYT. I'm saying I don't trust the cops to give a report.
Well, I wasn't there and it's true I can't say for sure the cops are telling the truth. I was inclined to believe it because of the M. O. - there seems to be a fashion for truck attacks by Islamic militants. But maybe for precisely that reason there's a risk of mis-identifying this as Islamic terrorism.
Let's consider it, though, from the standpoint of the cops' self-interest - if they embarrass the NYT into promoting a "right-wing narrative," then their value as leaks/sources is shot, the Times won't run their anonymous quotes any more.
Assuming the reporter was acting professionally and knew who he was dealing with.
I agree. It would not surprise me if they are correct. This is more an underlying belief about waiting some time for results rather than any opinion or hope on what the result is.
There was never any chance of them getting lucky twice in a row and getting another mysterious old white man with no online presence, but you know they were hoping like hell for it.
New Trump spin: Trump allowing so many of his advisers to be indicted proves how uncorrupt he is.
White House wants credit for Papadopoulos arrest
Makes sense. His DOJ appointed Mueller. The guy has more layers than Damascus steel.
Prediction: General Kelly has studied more history than any of the clowns criticizing him.
