The Trump administration is expected to announce a rollback of the Obamacare birth control mandate today and, next week, plans to "decertify" the Iran nuclear deal. He also uttered this possibly ominous, possibly meaningless word-vomit yesterday:

"You know what this represents?" Trump said. "Maybe it's the calm before the storm." Pressed on what "storm," Trump says, "You'll find out"

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is publishing sensitive information about both undocumented immigrants and the people who call to complain about them.

    Welcome to deep state retaliation.

    1. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

      Hello.

Maybe that's the way to go. Chisel away at Obamacare and eventually it'll make like Simon Phoenix.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Picture, if you will, President Trump is playing Augusta in the hope of winning a green jacket for victims in Las Vegas. As he is telling the assembled reporters that Hurricanes Irma, Maria and Jose were literally just the calm before the storm, he notices that his caddy, Rex Tillerson, has pulled the flag out of the hole and is holding it for another member of the foursome, Cam Newton, who is on a knee lining up his putt. The president immediately begins to tweet his outrage at this unpatriotic scene but he is interrupted by an instagram from ISIS claiming responsibility for Newton's misogyny. Meanwhile, Congress finally passes common sense Cash for Clunkers control legislation.

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration over its regulation of the abortion pill Mifeprex.

And I'm suing Mifeprex over its similarity to my new pill, Milfapreg.

"You know what this represents?" Trump said. "Maybe it's the calm before the storm." Pressed on what "storm," Trump says, "You'll find out"

    ? Justin Sink (@justinsink) October 5, 2017

So this has been the calm this whole time?

    1. Episteme   8 years ago

Just wait until Trump and the generals take "the silly picture"...

  4. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

"In the four days since Stephen Paddock's attack in Las Vegas... what drove him has remained a mystery."

Why aren't we focusing on the guns' motivations?

"In the four days since Stephen Paddock's attack in Las Vegas... what drove him has remained a mystery."

It was a country music festival. That would drive anyone to commit mass murder.

    1. Shirley Knott   8 years ago

If you listen to the SJW's, a country music festival *is* mass murder.

      1. sarcasmic   8 years ago

        Listen to who?

        1. Episteme   8 years ago

          To whom.

This is why we have mass murder, you know.

  6. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

"You know what this represents?" Trump said. "Maybe it's the calm before the storm." Pressed on what "storm," Trump says, "You'll find out"

He's talking about season 2 of Stranger Things, obviously.

How would anyone be able to tell?

  7. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

The Trump administration is expected to announce a rollback of the Obamacare birth control mandate today...

This is what a war on women looks like.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

...next week, plans to "decertify" the Iran nuclear deal.

Until Iran pays a nominal recertification fee and completes 4.000 of training.

Good morning! You seem very Chipper this morning. What's wrong? 🙂

  10. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

...what drove him has remained a mystery.

Without a social media trail, modern investigators are powerless to solve crime.

    1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

I said almost exactly those words to my wife last night. At first i thought i was joking but realized i wasn't by the time the sentence was over.

      1. Chipper Morning, Mean Girl   8 years ago

I think Fist is trying to tell you something.

        1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

When he finally breaks and blows up an Eagles game, point investigators here.

  11. DajjaI   8 years ago

what drove him has remained a mystery

Not really. As in other similar cases, it is radicalization by the FBI or CIA. E.g. Manchester (MI6), Orlando.

Jill Stein says we're gonna get banned now for sure.

  12. WakaWaka   8 years ago

"He also uttered this possibly ominous, possibly-meaningless-word-vomit yesterday"

It could either mean absolutely nothing or a prelude to a nuclear holocaust. Those are really the only two options with this guy.

  13. Crusty Juggler - Lawbertarian   8 years ago

Let's talk about Norm MacDonald, divisive comic genius

MacDonald disarms people because he's so cunningly blurred the line between the man and his character. Just look at his recent "memoir," a brilliant and frustrating narrative that spins off the seeds of what sound like real stories into bizarre, dreamlike digressions. This fuzzy duality extends to multiple sides of MacDonald's process, which is intentional. As the essay points out, it's MacDonald's "folksy, dopey innocence" in performance that works to mask the sophistication of his joke-writing, which he often undercuts with shockingly obvious punchlines or bursts of crass profanity.

    Norm's the shiznit.

This is a good reminder that all my comments should be read in Norm McDonald's voice.

    3. Red Rocks White Privilege   8 years ago

It's surreal watching some of his old SNL Weekend Update sketches--people are laughing and clapping at stuff, like him calling Hillary Clinton a bitch and Michael Jackson a homosexual pedophile, that would get him kicked off the show instantaneously today.

      1. Episteme   8 years ago

I'm pretty sure that the man is simply having the world's slowest aneurysm.

  14. DajjaI   8 years ago

    calm before the storm

Yep. The original Flynn-Bannon plan was to put Iran 'on notice' and thereby instigate them to trigger their sleeper cells across the globe to execute terror attacks and use that as a pretext to install a deep state and bomb the hell out of the middle east to disrupt oil supplies and thereby raise the value of Tilly's interests in Russia and the US. Plan was postponed but now we're back on track..... Get ready.....

That's just what they want you to believe.

  17. DajjaI   8 years ago

If you want to prevent mass killings, here are the top 3 things to do:

    1. Identify all the people the FBI/CIA labeled 'crazy' and have a little chat with their kids.
    2. Identify all the people the FBI/CIA paid to overthrow foreign governments and have a little chat with their kids.
    3. Identify all the people diagnosed as 'autistic' and whose mothers gave them guns as a birthday present and have a little chat.

Female reporter who was insulted by Cam Newton's sexist comments apologizes herself after tweets surface of her using the N-word and enjoying her 'father's racist jokes about Navajo land'

    Reminder: don't use social media.

    1. Chipper Morning, Mean Girl   8 years ago

Navajos are my least favorite kind of women.

    2. Domestic Dissident   8 years ago

Amazing how everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten Scam Newton's history. This is the clown who got kicked out of Florida and ended up having to go to Blinn College because he stole another student's laptop and then threw it out a window when the cops showed up. Never mind the fact that he was getting a free ride at Florida, was probably getting money under the table illegally, and almost certainly could have gotten a free laptop for himself if he had just asked a couple of the right people.

Scam Newton is about as stupid and arrogant an SOB as you'll find anywhere, and anyone who actually thinks his team and league mandated apology is really sincere is almost as stupid as he is.

" "They want to be famous. We want to be champions. They want to be rappers and backup dancers. We want to play football." --TJ Ward after Denver's defense emulsified Carolina in the Super Bowl.

    3. Red Rocks White Privilege   8 years ago

I should be exasperated by all this, but after reading a couple of self-righteous pieces about this yesterday by sportscunts, both male and female, I'm starting to think the utter destruction of professional sports and the media industry devoted to it might not be the worst thing in the world.

    4. Episteme   8 years ago

So, the route that she was talking about funny was the Trail of Tears?

    5. Lily Bulero   8 years ago

OMG she called Dale Earnhardt a bitch n***a!

Earnhardt prefers the term "African-American" because "after all, the whole human race is from Africa, y'all."

      1. Lily Bulero   8 years ago

But really, people shouldn't go around and post whatever pops into their head on the Internet, that's just...uh, never mind...

  19. gaoxiaen   8 years ago

    Damn I'm sleepy.

"In the four days since Stephen Paddock's attack in Las Vegas...what drove him has remained a mystery."

I think the authorities know more than they're telling us. Maybe a lot more.

In some of the pictures that have been released, there is very clearly a note that Paddock left on a table. I don't know about you, but I'd sure as heck love to know what was on that note, because we haven't been told yet.

I'll continue to be charitable for now and assume they have a good reason for withholding this information, with the most likely reason being that he had associates that need to be found.

    1. Think It Through   8 years ago

News report said note had "numbers" that they are analyzing for clues. Not words. Possible guesses: (1) math regarding trajectories/distances/body counts? (2) math regarding gambling wins/losses?

      1. Domestic Dissident   8 years ago

If it really is just a bunch of numbers on there, then why not just tell us what they are?

        1. Think It Through   8 years ago

Official line will be anything released could tip off those who helped him, if any. Reality, FYTW.

And its Vegas. The cities literal motto is what happens here stays here. If any cop in America would know how to keep things under wraps it would be the Vegas police.
