Jump rope
Milkovasa / Dreamstime

How did the kids get roped into THAT?!?!?

  2. Rat on a train   8 years ago

Did the children forget the safe word?

    No noose is good noose.

It's part of the DARE program - they want kids to associate hemp products with pain.

  5. Lily Bulero   8 years ago

Anyway, I need to know the outcome of the charges. Don't leave me hanging.

  6. Lily Bulero   8 years ago

It sounds like that coach is at the end of his rope.

  7. Lily Bulero   8 years ago

OK, I think I've found the perfect punishment for the coach (if he's guilty, that is)...strap him to a chair and play this at full volume for ten hours.

It may be perfect but the 8th amendment could kick in.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Disgusting. Today we're hellbent on raising complete snowflakes. In my day we were lucky if it was a nice, smooth rope coach wrapped around our necks. Anyway, it was good for us, to prepare us for the real world of campaign press reporting.

As a junior high student in the 70s, it's nice to know that the caliber of PE teachers hasn't changed.

    1. Conchfritters   8 years ago

In the early 80s, we had a kid that was goofing around in PE class, and the teacher told another student in the class to go clock the kid. By the Reagan administration, the teachers knew better than to have the blood on THEIR hands.

    2. Brandybuck   8 years ago

My PE teacher was an ex-Marine drill sergeant. Also one of the Black Sheep. He never abused the kids, though. My favorite quote from him was, from memory, "Fuck the principal, I've got tenure!"

  14. Longtobefree   8 years ago

They should not have brought charges; he was clearly just extremely careless.
