4) This summer the Israeli Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism paid for billboards in Israel advocating to change policies at the Western Wall. If money from Americans goes to them, that could violate this new policy of no foreign influence on politics.

5) Reform Jewish leaders in the USA are rethinking their donations to Israel, because they do not like Israeli policies regarding the Western Wall and conversions to Judaism.

The left does not have a leg to stand on regarding this issue. I'm fine with private people donating to influence politics in other countries. Heck, that's what donors to Amnesty International do. I think it's bad form for national governments to try to influence politics in other countries with funds.

Almost nobody ? no conservative ? has anything good to say lately about Mexico, which produces a great deal of oil but whose most visible exports are Mexicans, mostly desperately poor ones, and drugs. (And, of course, Mexicans carrying drugs.) The lawlessness in the cartel-controlled parts of Mexico, the continued flood of illegals across the border (Trump's boasting notwithstanding, illegal border crossings were up sharply in the early summer), the Mexican government's inability or disinclination to do much about these, and the anti-immigration and anti-foreign sentiment currently gripping much of the electorate have many Americans less than eager to see Washington investing any additional time or resources in problems south of the border. A Marshall Plan for Mexico? Good luck selling that. But something along those lines would in fact be an intelligent investment in North American stability, security, and prosperity.

There is much the United States could do to help Mexico ? and to help itself at the same time. The first item on the agenda should be reforming U.S. drug laws in the direction of liberalization and decriminalization, thus robbing the narcotics cartels of their principal raison d'?tre and their most important revenue stream. With that done, the United States could help Mexico develop a plan for demilitarizing its law-enforcement programs and drug-interdiction activities. (We might want to come up with a plan like that for ourselves.) We should expand our already deep economic and governmental ties with an eye toward helping Mexico to rein in corruption and money-laundering ? if you want to revisit NAFTA, that is one area that could in fact use some attention. We should help Mexico build more effective institutions and improve existing ones, securing not only physical security and the rule of law but also more accountable and representative government.

Framing it as a Mexican Marshall Plan was too much - or perhaps necessary to reach his conservative audience? - but his actual proposals sound cheap and effective. He's right that, if the govt truly wanted to address the Mexico Problem, this is what they would be doing.

The article was woefully short on details. It just said "holding a stick". Did he brandish it? Because brandishing is dangerous. Or did he fail to respond to simultaneously shouted commands that come through as incoherent jibberish? Because that only gets you about 1.5 to 3 seconds of leeway.

Fuck that! After a hit-and-run, unless the story ends with him atop a pile of bodies screaming 'kill me' before the stick is wrestled away from him, I blame the police and white supremacists.

But, more "seriously", at least one story paints the victim as deaf/handicapped. I, obviously, don't want anyone to get shot, but I hope to God they shot a blind man with a cane.

Trans fats are artificial, inedible, poisonous substances. They are not "food" in any sense of the word and have no place in foodstuffs. Libertarians should not object to them being banned from foods any more than they would object to any other toxic contaminate being banned.
