Brickbat: 'Shut Up,' She Explained

In the United Kingdom, Naz Shah, a Labor Party member of Parliament, says she did not mean to "like" and retweet a tweet telling victims of child sexual abuse by gangs of Pakistani men to shut up. Her spokesman says it was an accident that she retweeted a post that said, "Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity."

Aww, come on. Clearly, she just gave it a brief glance and thought it said ""Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to *open* their mouths. For the good of diversity."
I mean, seriously, Christian girls, everyone knows not swallowing is just not cool...
You left out the original tweet was parody.
Not an accepted defense against charges of wrongthink. The words themselves are harmful violence that rape people.
I'm sure it was totally a ruse cruise on her part. Who'd expect a Pakistani to have zero empathy for the victims of Pakistani rape gangs, right?
And yet she persisted.
That explains why it sounds like parody... So did she "accidentally" happen to agree with it?
At the risk of getting banned again by Reason - the core problem in the UK is their lack of free speech. Because they have extensive libel and defamation laws, people can't speak out against crimes such as raping children and substandard cladding for fear of being sued and prosecuted. So it ends up creating these absurd cycles of escalating hyperbole and hysteria and yes someone really can get hurt.
Like the victims of the Pakistani rape gangs?
It's probably too bad a certain commenter isn't still around to see Rotherham finally mentioned on Reason.
Hitler?
Turns out he was actually Tulpa.
Interns don't understand sarcasm anymore, and bots don't understand it yet.
Hence, 'accidents' are going to continue until AI improves.
She should be forgiven. It's not like she is a Conservative Party member!!!
You know who else had Naz in their name?
A boring Scottish rock band that has managed to annoy for almost 50 years now?
There was that band from Philly
UK?
Labor Party?
Who cares?

"Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity."
Wow, you really can't parody these people can you? This sounds like one of our sarcastic comments
The original comment was satire.
I realize that now, someone pointed it out above
