Mostly law professors | Sometimes contrarian | Often libertarian | Always independent
First, the governor's tweet complaining (because of course, to complain about drones, you need to do it on Twitter):
- Governor Matt Bevin (@GovMattBevin) August 1, 2017
Now, the TV station's response:
- Barry Fulmer (@BarryFulmerWDRB) August 1, 2017
CNET (Chris Matyszczyk) reports on a possible reason for the overflight:
Why, though, might have Fulmer chosen to pilot his way over Bevin's home?
One possibility is a story that aired on WDRB on Tuesday. It involved a controversy surrounding the true value of the governor's residence, which was purchased through a limited liability company. The local Courier-Journal referred to it as a possible "sweetheart deal."
For some thoughts on whether this could lead to a lawsuit - whether for trespass or intrusion upon seclusion - see this post. For more on law and drones, including shooting down drones, see these posts.
