Brickbat: First Rule of Fight Club

Chicago police are investigating a fight between two boys at a local elementary school. The fight was recorded on video, and an adult appeared to be ordering the two to fight. One of the boys in the fight identified that adult as a teacher. In a note sent to parents, school officials said the person was not a Chicago Public Schools employee and is no longer supervising children.

And the worst thing is, the teachers bet on the wrong kid to win, so now they won't be able to afford a good Christmas dinner.
Tiny Tim better win some fights soon or he won't get that operation.
And Miss Vicky won't put out.

Are you stalking me?
Always bet on black.
If it's any consolation, I saw a deal at Brown's Chicken in the embedded ad before the video.
Oh FFS, drama queen much mom?
In her defense, it was real violence not unpleasant speech that triggered him. Give him a few more years of indoctrination and he will require hospitalization because of something Trump said.
Skinnnner!
And now for something completely different.
I trust that's all the intro we need.
The department filed a petition in 2012 to have Marotta declared the child's legal father and require him to pay child support after the women, birth mother Jennifer Schreiner and Angela Bauer, separated and Schreiner received assistance from the state.
The state didn't want to be stuck with the bill. Lulz.
IIRC, that was one of the "improvements" to welfare imposed by Clinton: dependent children are now de facto wards of the state, and absent parent support obligations are now theirs to leverage. As in, the state keeps the child support they take from the absent parent to pay for the welfare.
I'm sure it sounded like a fantastic idea at the time.
Deadbeat state.
...a fantastic idea at the time? Only if you're a complete fucking loon.
Sorry. I gave at the office.
The boys were given automatic suspensions for fighting in school. The school district has a quota for suspensions that teachers are struggling to meet.
Cmon Lou, we really like this place!
Thanks Lou. You too big guy.
the person was not a Chicago Public Schools employee and is no longer supervising children
So they have non-staff supervising children?
That's not uncommon in after-school programs, which are often run by third parties. The YMCA has an extensive network of after-school on-site programs, I believe.
"...an adult appeared to be ordering the two to fight."
This was my father's idea of conflict resolution for my brother and I.
"Throw on the gloves and take it outside. Because if you break anything while fighting in the house both your asses will be purple when I'm done with you."
spray paint as a disciplinary tool...brilliant

The 9th rule of Fight Club is: no cell phones or cameras.
I imagine the "No evidence" rule will move up the hierarchy at the next annual meeting in Vegas.
