Morgan County, Alabama, Sheriff Ana Franklin says a raid on a local drywall business has nothing to do with the fact the the firm's owner has posted on a website critical of Franklin and the sheriff's office. But she won't say why the firm was raided other than it was part of a criminal investigation. The raid seized 19 electronic devices containing tax information, contracts and payroll data.

I've been to Morgan County, up near Huntsville (home of the Marshall Space Center - well worth a visit, I was up there when they were working on a section of the ISS). Morgan's on the outskirts of the area, along the Tennessee River with several good lakes. Good fishing up there in Morgan County. Probably that's what the sheriff was up to - just enjoying some good fishing.

The sheriff fired the jail warden because the jail warden has been sending this drywall lady documents about the shit going on in the sheriffs department. The jail warden and the drywall lady are blowing the whistle on the sheriff. My guess is one of the first issues getting raised is "freedom of the press", which defense by the sheriff is going to be "she ain't no press, she's just some lady writing crap on the internet."
