Brickbat: Find Your Own Path

In British Columbia, retired road engineer David Pacey has pleaded not guilty to two counts of damaging flora, fauna or a natural object in a national park. Pacey has repaired and cleared of debris some five kilometers of existing trails in Kootenay National Park. He says officials at Parks Canada are just angry with him for doing the job they should be doing.

Come on Canuckistan. Even the PRC didn't prosecute
Richard Akrom for his
guerrilla public service.
Maybe they'll give him community service picking up trash along the road.
Good one.
*golf clap*
There ya go.
"...retired road engineer..."
You'd think this chap would already know The Road to SOMALIA!!one!!11! Perdition is paved with good intentions...
not to mention the road to Toronto...
Kinda have to wonder if the parks department doen't maybe have a big budget request in - with the shitty trails as Exhibit A for why they need a big increase in their budget. Can't have some guy going around clearing the trails for free when you're trying to convince the boss the job can't possibly be done for less than a few mil.
He was able, in three successive weekends, to do the work an eight-man crew of unionized park employees could complete in a little over 18 months.
not counting breaks...
And by the time they got to the end they would have to start over because it would have all overgrown again! It's the mobius strip of jobs!
Has things gotten so bad that they think they can actually outlaw Canadians being nice?
they should work on the stupid part first...what do you call a Canadian with an IQ greater than 100? an American.
Picking weeds without a license? He probably didn't pull them out by the roots because he didn't spend the $2,000.00 and attend the 300 hour class on how to pick weeds. Probably wasn't wearing a hard hat and safety gear either. God its a good thing the Canucks are stopping him. He is a menace to himself and society.
