Attn, Seattle-Area Reasonoids: Meet Reason's John Tamny on 8/18
He's the author of Who Needs the Fed?: What Taylor Swift, Uber and Robots Tell Us About Money, Credit, and Why We Should Abolish America's Central Bank.
Steve Forbes called Who Needs the Fed?, the new book by Reason Foundation's John Tamny, "one of the most enormously—and positively—influential treatises of our time." Anthony Scaramucci, the host of Wall Street Week, said that it will "force you to see the world in a new way."
Who Needs the Fed?: What Taylor Swift, Uber and Robots Tell Us About Money, Credit, and Why We Should Abolish America's Central Bank has received terrific reviews—and now you can sit down with John Tamny and hear his take on why the core functions of the Federal Reserve system are best met by markets rather than through government meddling.
Please join Tamny for drinks and hors d'oeuvres this coming Thursday in downtown Seattle:
Date/Time: Thursday, August 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Place: Maximilien, Pike Place Market of Seattle, on main floor between Don and Joe's Meat and the Market Spice shop.

Hey Negrita
Steve Forbes called Wall Street Week, said that it will "force you to see the world in a new way."
The Jacket, I'm assuming the it in the above sentence is Tamny's book. Kinda hard to follow, given this is the first sentence below the title. Come on bro, we know it's Friday but you can do better.
Is that comment the best you can do? The context is plenty clear. Your comment, on the other hand, makes me wonder what you are on.
Who reads the headlines?
Maximilien
Maximilien is located in Pike Place Market of Seattle, on the main floor between Don and Joe's Meat and the Market Spice shop.
RSVP: Mary Toledo at 310 - 391 - 2245 or mtoledo@reason.org by Monday, August 15
If I recall, there's no air condish in that place and the temperature can soar in that absolutely charming, but cramped indoor old-timey urban space with creaky wooden floors.
It's all fun and games until you end up in Warty's basement.
With Q Lazarus playing in the background?
