Gillespie, don't let him sucker you into voting Hillary!

    1. MatildaMarsden   9 years ago

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do... http://www.Trends88.com

  2. commodious, VRW conspirator   9 years ago

    L.A. Times: Trump 47%, Hillary 40%.

Elated, or horrified? The answer is: yes.

    1. commodious, VRW conspirator   9 years ago

      Linky.

    2. paranoid android   9 years ago

      It's a horrolation!

    3. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

The more people see of Hillary, the less they like.

Look at the @#(!@#)* trend of that red line. And consider that she's spent $200million so far trying to reverse its direction. And its been throwing gasoline on a campfire.

Trump has so saturated the airwaves/cover of newspapers for the last 6 months that people are effectively inoculated to anything said about him. You've probably had every thought you're ever going to have about him already, twice over.

    4. waffles   9 years ago

Well the the party convention bump is supposed to be about 7%. Will the Hill get boosted?

      1. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

        There will be a bump.

Bill Clinton might have to corner every goddam pollster in every goddam airport in the nation and regale them with stories about his grandchildren, but there will be a bump.

      2. R C Dean   9 years ago

Well the the party convention bump is supposed to be about 7%

I thought convention bumps were supposed to be on the decline. Anyone got an analysis?

  3. Groovus Maximus   9 years ago

    We Are The Weld!

  4. commodious the clueless   9 years ago

    Speaking of Democratic corruption.

What are the rules for submitting evidence obtained illicitly? Is it kosher if a third party unrelated to the suit discloses them publicly?

  5. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

I'll resubscribe if you ask WW where he stands on the debate over empiricism vs. methodological individualism and who his three favorite libertarian theorists are.

    1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

That says far more about you (and libertarians) than about why Weld is running on the LP ticket.

      - politics is a popularity contest with occasional (mostly symbolic) references to policy issues
      - personal opinion about political theory is about as relevant as a zoologist's at a cockfight

      1. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

I'll resubscribe to your newsletter if you use the word "money" the next time you discussion Weld's presence on the LP ticket.

        1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

the next time you discussion Weld's presence on the LP ticket.

I've never discussed weld's presence on the LP ticket. I don't really have much interest in the LP as a vehicle for advancing actual libertarian ideas at all.

I think the fact that the party has gone so squishy as to be unrecognizable to 'actual libertarians' is something that should probably be expected. It will win its higher-percentage of the vote this year, but in the process will become Diet Democrat.

I'm not sure why gripes about money are so important. Trump's success this year is a very interesting case study in how the person who spent-least did the best. In fact, Nick and Weld are talking about that as i type this.

          1. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

Soft-pedaling the message for the sake of optics is an odd choice for a group that's fundamentally a protest party in a FPTP system. I gave to GJ's campaign four years ago because of the attention he brought, but it'd be encouraging if after five years of being the standard bearer for libertarianism, he could ditch the fiscally conservative & socially liberal talk and at least hint at (be aware of?) the radical roots.

            1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

again - i think your comment is sort of ignoring the reality of party politics.

it'd be encouraging if after five years of being the standard bearer for libertarianism, he could ditch the fiscally conservative & socially liberal talk and at least hint at (be aware of?) the radical roots.

After 5 years, i think he's realized that being the guy who gives a warm-fuzzy to ideologues like you doesn't ever get the LP more than its predictable 1%

so he and weld going after the scraps being left behind by the DNC and GOP's very-unlikeable candidates.

Succeeding with those people means saying a lot of shit that plays well to *them*. He/they don't need to please you; they're assuming you're voting LP because you have no other choice.

they're going after the people who've never voted LP. doing that means throwing you under the bus. get used to it.

              1. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

I'm used to it. Badnarik and Browne were a long time ago, and democracy has become only more repellent in the years since.

And yet I reserve my right to complain when Lamar Alexander is the 2020 LP presidential nominee.

    I'm all aflutter with anticipation.

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-g.....tons-rape/

Remember, women never lie about rape. I have no idea if Broderick is telling the truth, but she seems pretty credible. A hell of a lot more credible than the crazy woman down at UVA or mattress girl. Broderick should be shoved in the faces of every Hilary supporting feminist in this country. If she is telling the truth, what an unspeakable injustice has been done to this woman, all with the help of so called "feminists".

    1. Rich   9 years ago

It's OK -- Hillary is fighting to make her life better.

    2. Pay up, Palin's Buttplug!   9 years ago

      Why hasn't Broderick filed charges?

      1. R C Dean   9 years ago

        Why would she?

At this point, its a pure he-said/she-said case, is decades old, and she has known from the day he raped her that the cops and prosecutors would cover for him. From her perspective, its all pain, no gain.

    3. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

I have no idea if Broderick is telling the truth

      Yes you do.

Clinton oozes the sort of entitled smug frat boy behavior we expect from serial womanizers. It doesn't take much for a malignant narcissist to turn into a rapist, particularly if he's into rough or kinky sex like Clinton.

      1. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

What did frat boys do - or not do - to you?

        1. Citizen X   9 years ago

He lost every game of Soggy Biscuit.

        2. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

          Lazy.

What happened to you? It's like watching Eddie Murphy go from Raw to Vampire in Brooklyn.

          1. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

It's true that I no longer wear leather suits. A man can only chafe so much.

        3. commodious the clueless   9 years ago

Everyone knows frat boys are hypersexualized rapists. They're like the superpredators of the 90s, but white.

          1. Knarf the Yenrab   9 years ago

            It's true: I'm a raging anti-fratite.

            1. commodious the clueless   9 years ago

Hi. This is Wilford Brimley. Welcome to Fraternities: A National Emergency. Now, hopefully, with this book, I'm gonna confirm a few myths, a few rumors. First off, frat boys rule the night. They rule it. Nobody escapes. And they run in packs. And while they may not all be collegiate athletes, don't take drinks from 'em, don't do it. Gives 'em the edge. They might go into rapist mode; come at you like UVA upperclassmen, grabbing its fucking leg. You might be screaming "No, no, no" and all they hear is "Who wants pie?" Let me tell you something: They all do. They all want your pie.

              1. waffles   9 years ago

                Bravo!

      2. R C Dean   9 years ago

As between her credibility and Bill Clinton's, its not really much of a contest, is it?

    4. commodious the clueless   9 years ago

And remember, there's absolutely nothing to rumors of his trips to Little Saint James on Jeffrey Epstein's "Lolita Express".

      1. John   9 years ago

He just gave his Secret Service Agents the day off that time he traveled on Epstein's private plane. Bill is just that kind of a guy.

OT: Pope says attacks shows 'world is at war'

    OK ....

However, speaking to reporters aboard a plane taking him to Poland, the pope said he was not talking about a war of religion

    *** facepalm ***

    1. paranoid android   9 years ago

I'm informed that "allahu akbar" roughly translates to "this is about the domination of peoples and economic interests".

    2. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

the pope said he was not talking about a war of religion, but rather one of domination of peoples and economic interests.

..and Elizabeth Stoker Bruenig had a spontaneous orgasm

      1. LynchPin1477   9 years ago

        Followed immediately by Irish

        Where is he, anyway?

        1. Citizen X   9 years ago

          Stormfront?

        2. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

My guess: he was stabbed at a protest in Sacramento.

          1. Gojira   9 years ago

I can just see him walking down the street, minding his own business, unaware there was a protest scheduled. He's whistling a jaunty tune, turns a corner, and *BAM*, runs right smack into some huge BLM protest. A guy jumps out of the crowd right in front of him, yells "haHA!", and stabs him in the gut with a switchblade, then runs off laughing manically while Irish collapses in a pool of his own blood.

            1. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

I was trying to make a sly reference to this, you deliciously verbose dork.

              1. Gojira   9 years ago

Wow, that went so far over my head it interfered with airline traffic.

I like my story better, because it implies that an innocent person was hurt/killed, which makes it funny.

                1. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

Oh sure. I like the thought of him leading his neo-Nazi brothers In battle. If it makes you feel better I'm sure some innocent people got hurt in that fracas, too.

        3. Idle Hands   9 years ago

No, Episarch for a while either. Not that anyone should complain about that.

          1. Citizen X   9 years ago

He's been super busy bangin' your mom, it is known.

  11. R C Dean   9 years ago

The cluster of non-DNC articles this morning is much appreciated. Thanks.

    1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

      JESSE WINS THE INTERNET

    2. LynchPin1477   9 years ago

But it proves that reason is just a left wing rag!

  12. R C Dean   9 years ago

FWIW, the stock market has been down every day of the Democrat convention.

It was up and down the week of the Republican convention, but ended the week higher.

Make of it what you will, but if you assume (a) the market is projecting the winner of the election and (b) Wall Street prefers HIllary, then it would seem to mean that the Repub convention was a success and the Dem convention so far isn't.

    1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

The stock market isn't reacting to the party conventions. at all. ever.

Once you account for stuff like quarterly earnings, the price of oil, fed-talk, moves in short-term interest rates, and china or EU data... there's not a hell of a lot left over for anyone to care about.

    2. LynchPin1477   9 years ago

      Chaotic system is chaotic.

  13. EdWuncler   9 years ago

I'm already getting the," If you don't vote for Hillary Clinton, you are indirectly voting for Donald Trump", bullshit.

I live in fucking Illinois, so my vote doesn't matter anyway. And apparently like the last two election cycles, it's the election where it all can change.

    1. DesigNate   9 years ago

Every election I've been eligible to vote in has been THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVER!!!!!111!!!

  14. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

Weld managed to make claims about wanting to slash govt spending without naming a single thing that needs to be cut.

Politicians must train in that rhetorical-move in a gymnasium somewhere. Its like the most important dodge there is.

  15. The Late P Brooks   9 years ago

I'm already getting the," If you don't vote for Hillary Clinton, you are indirectly voting for Donald Trump", bullshit.

I've seen so much of that crap lately, it all blends together, but I saw something yesterday (nyt, most likely) about the NeverHillary! Berniebots being exactly the same as (possibly worse than) Trump campaign staffers.

    1. EdWuncler   9 years ago

This election cycle cannot be over soon enough.

      1. Citizen X   9 years ago

Unfortunately, when it does finally end, one of these clownfuckers will be president.

  16. The Late P Brooks   9 years ago

Weld managed to make claims about wanting to slash govt spending without naming a single thing that needs to be cut.

"When I am elected, I will eliminate the Dept of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse from the Cabinet. For too long, the American People have suffered under its yoke. Spending will henceforth be directed with laserlike precision to projects which benefit those most deserving."
