Green Party Candidate Jill Stein Says Hillary Clinton Could Be Worse Than Donald Trump
Trump "says very scary things," Clinton does them.

Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein says she believes presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton could be worse than presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
"Trump says very scary things—deporting immigrants, massive militarism and, you know, ignoring the climate," Stein explained on Democracy Now. "Well, Hillary, unfortunately, has a track record for doing all of those things. Hillary has supported the deportations of immigrants, opposed the refugees—women and children coming from Honduras, whose refugee crisis she was very much responsible for by giving a thumbs-up to this corporate coup in Honduras that has created the violence from which those refugees are fleeing. She basically said, 'No, bar the gates, send them back.' You know, so we see these draconian things that Donald Trump is talking about, we actually see Hillary Clinton doing."
Clinton admitted in 2014 to using her power as Secretary of State to prevent Honduras President Manuel Zelaya from returning to office after he was overthrown in a coup.
Stein also brought up Clinton's militarism. "And it's not only the militarism that Trump talks about, it's Hillary's massive record of militarism," she continued.
"The rush into Libya, which was really—you know, she was the prime mover behind that campaign, which the military advisers were largely against; her approval for the war in Iraq and so on; you know, her threat to bomb Iran; and, you know, she—and her demonization of Russia and China, and the pivot against China. We are rushing towards war with Hillary Clinton, who has a track record," Stein said.
President Obama announced an "Asia pivot" in 2011. By 2015 the Obama administration said it was frustrated and confused by China taking a more confrontational stance against the U.S.
Stein also noted that while Trump "talks terrible about climate change," he "does believe in climate change" in Ireland, where the Trump Organization filed for a permit to build a sea wall to protect one of its golf courses. She pointed to Clinton's support of international fracking while secretary of state as a reason she believes Clinton could be worse on climate. Stein should read Ronald Bailey's "Top 5 Lies About Fracking."
Stein was also asked what she thought Bernie Sanders should say when he meets with Obama (the two met the day she was interviewed). "I don't think President Obama is going to change his tune because of something that Bernie Sanders says to him," she said. "I think what's really important—you know, in the words of Frederick Douglass, 'Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never has, and it never will.'"
Stein called on Democracy Now listeners not to be "a victim of this propaganda campaign" aimed to discourage third party voters. Asked about criticism that third party candidates like her (Stein is not yet officially the nominee of the Green Party, which holds its convention in Houston in early August) act as "spoilers," Stein rejected the framing.
"This politics of fear has actually delivered everything we were afraid of," Stein said. "All the reasons you were told you had to vote for the lesser evil—because you didn't want the massive Wall Street bailouts, the offshoring of our jobs, the meltdown of the climate, the endless expanding wars, the attack on immigrants—all that, we've gotten by the droves, because we allowed ourselves to be silenced."

If Hillary can't lock up the old lady radical environmentalist vote she's going to be in trouble.
AKA the grey bush vote.
Burn:)
I know, right, how do you choose? I vacillate daily myself.
It's two, two, correct thoughts for the price of one election!
Best headline encapsulating this truth came from Jacob Sullum a few months ago:
Clinton vs. Trump: The Good News Is One Would Lose
Hmmmm .... I'd almost rather both won, so they'd cancel each other out.
Co-presidents Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump
This must be a TV show immediately!
I smell an Odd-Couple reboot!
They'll have a big white stripe down the middle of the oval office. Hilarity ensues...
We should have stuck to the original way of choosing the VP.
Headline:
"...Jill Stein Says Hillary Clinton Could Be Worse Than Donald Trump"
First sentence:
"...Jill Stein says she believes Donald Trump could be worse than Hillary Clinton."
Covering all bases?
"The creatures outside looked from Trump to Clinton, and from Clinton to Trump, and from Trump to Clinton again, but already it was impossible to say which was which."
How Orwellian!

All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
I've always thought I was more equal than others.
"The politics of failure have failed. It's time to make them work again."
"It's time to turn off the war machine and turn on our children!"
"turn on our children"?
As with LDS?
Or, as in cannibalism?
Are those actual Jill Stein quotes?
Simpsons on my part.
you know, like, you know?

Actually, her supporters are rather proud of that:

Can someone please explain why that is supposed to be impressive?
+1 Impressive carbon footprint
When you don't have accomplishments to list, you start listing activities.
I wonder if she sharpened more pencils than other Secretary of State.
She ran more illegal private servers and destroyed more evidence under subpoena than any other SoS,
Sitting in an airplane seat while well trained pilots fly from point to point is a magnificent accomplishment.
And yes, that's a stupid thing in particular to brag about.
If she's the "most-traveled Secretary of State in history" and she still didn't accomplish a god damn thing, not only is she a failure, she's a really fucking inefficient failure.
I work in government. It's completely understandable to those of us who do.
Yes because Gaddafi was about to massacre millions of people. She PREVENTED that! What the fuck is WRONG with you?
Ha.
Yup. In the effort to deny Benghazi a foothold in the scandal parade, the Hillary cogs now pretend that Libya was a good a idea, pulled off without a hitch and everything is great there now.
DID YOU WANT THOSE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO BE SLAUGHTERED?
What if leaving Quaddafi in place allowed ISIS to have a presence in the country!!!
See? This is what I'm telling you! They would have killed every LGBT in Northern Africa!
Apologies. LGBTQIX.
/checking privilege
is it still there?
Before checking my privilege, I make sure no cops are watching.
I like how even Obama's backpedaled on Libya now.
"I've made a huge mistake."
of all the people to "get it", Jill Stein would have been the last I expected. Maybe she can take Bernie as her VP.
Paging SugarFree! SugarFree to the white courtesy phone!

I just heard a weird high-pitched keening noise in my office, and was unpleasantly startled to realize it was coming from me.
Well, now coworkers want to know why I'm laughing but no way in hell can I ever explain this. *slinks down at desk*
I, for one, would like to thank Sugar for helping me through that weight loss plateau.
*haunted stare*
Her only hope is to pull votes from the D candidate. Of course she'd attack Clinton.
Allegedly, if Bernie is on board with a Green Party run, Stein would step down from her presumptive nominee slot to become his VP.
Which I find really impressive, much as I might disagree with Stein. Let it not be said that every pol is an egotistical moron.
That just goes to show how much she misses having a man on top.
*narrows gaze*
Holy shit, close it down. R C takes the thread today.
When will Reason start doing Darrell Castle stories?
I dont like Hillary but Jill Stein is a commie watermelon who is mad that Hillary is stealing her spotlight.

There was, of course, no coup in Honduras.
Shitlary's constituency:
(1) people who attributed the economic boom of the 1990s at least in part to Bill Clinton's presidency, & believe he'll call the shots in the White House again;
(2) neocons;
(3) blacks, who have a lot of inertia invested in their opinion leaders;
(4) Hispanics, who figure that if they're Trump's whipping boys & girls, they might as well play the part;
(5) people she's got the goods on?a constituency of blackmail.
Clinton admitted in 2014 to using her power as Secretary of State to prevent Honduras President Manuel Zelaya from returning to office after he was overthrown in a coup.
Zelaya wasn't overthrown in a coup--unless you think that it would have been a coup if Richard Nixon, instead of resigning, had been impeached and removed from office after conviction. Because Zelaya was removed from office in accordance with the Honduran constitution.
(The removal of Viktor Yanukovych as president of the Ukraine, now *that* was a coup, as it disregarded the procedures of the Ukrainian constitution for removal of the president, requiring that the case be reviewed by the Constitutional Court and that three-fourths of the Verkhovna Rada vote for removal. But you can't blame Hillary for that, since she left office a year earlier.)
Oh, come on. She LIKES her power! She even has power over the leaders of other nations. Just ask her.
I'm having a Freudian moment here. Something about penis envy.
"...Clinton admitted in 2014 to using her power as Secretary of State to prevent Honduras President Manuel Zelaya from returning to office after he was overthrown in a coup..."
NOT TRUE! And that link shows no such thing, except some spin wrapping.
A constitutional arrest for crimes including theft, corruption, organizing an auto-coup, organizing an armed rebellion, the arrest of Manuel Zelaya was in obedience to lawful Supreme Court orders, carried out by a military pursuant to orders from civil authority.
I'm so sick and tired of what should be people that should be skeptical of crony corporate media blathering about on subjects like this without further digging. Zelaya was organizing a Chavez-style auto-coup to become lifetime dictator, he said so to one of his cabinet, so promising --that's from a VERY reliable soure close to same. Everybody in Honduras knew it anyway.
And Hillary Clinton called up interim pres Micheletti demanding he resign to let Zelaya back in power, even asked him what it would take. Micheletti said nothing except a Yankee invasion.
That's right, more interventionism. Thank God my wife's country of birth said NO!!! to Chavista socialism.
good job
