Trump Goes Off on Loser Pope Who Called Him Un-Christian
Does the Vatican even make good deals anymore?

Pope Francis had harsh words for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday: "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," said the Pope. He later hedged his criticism by adding that he wasn't sure if Trump had actually expressed such un-Christian sentiments.
Trump didn't appreciate the remark. (I mean, who cares what some loser pope thinks? The Vatican doesn't even make good deals anymore, let me tell you. Sad!) In his response, Trump said that ISIS would certainly try to attack the Vatican, and when that happens, all Catholics should pray that Trump is president.
Here is Trump's full statement:
If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS's ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians.
The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them. The Pope only heard one side of the story - he didn't see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn't see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation.
For a religious leader to question a person's faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man's religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant.
Emphasis mine. Nobody has the right to question another person's faith—not even the leader of that faith—in Trump's universe. Well, almost nobody. As Trump himself tweeted just one week ago: "How can Ted Cruz be an Evangelical Christian when he lies so much and is so dishonest?"
In summary: the Pope doesn't get to judge whether people are Christian enough. Trump does.

Also when he's from Cuba. Not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba, you know.
That's the secret Canadian in him.
Hilarious. A socialist pope, who heads an organization of pedophiles, trying to tell America how to live.
FUCK the pope and the catholic religion he leads.
Does the pope even lift?
Dude, like I do so many 12 oz curls it isn't even funny.
Maybe, but you can't IPA deadlift like me, scrub.
He lifts the weight of our sins, or something like that.
Dude. That was Jesus. The pope is just his press secretary.
Who usurped the rightful lineage of rabbit popes.
Damn, the Trump response statement reads just like John.
Has anyone ever seen the two of them in the same room?
*thinking face emoji*
Well they don't exactly have the same tastes in women.
Speaking of Mary, the Reason boards are much nicer without her, aren't they?
BAD.
Really? I thought it was more Tulparific.

I think the man knows classy, Nikki.
In summary: the Pope doesn't get to judge whether people are Christian enough. Trump does.
Actually, the only people that get to judge faith are people judging him- or herself. And of course God has the right to judge. But the Pope was out of line, in my opinion. He has every right to say a person is not acting in a Christian manner but can't make a value judgement like that without likewise condemning anybody that would put a fence around their yard to keep unwanted people from entering their property.
I'd also note that he lives in a walled palace with guards on duty 24 hours a day carrying machine guns. And he drives a car with a permanent wall keeping people away from him.
Actually, Pope Frank doesn't use a bulletproof popemobile
And, as usual, the fence around your yard is a terrible analogy for a border wall.
Facts, schmacts.
Well, he probably ought to, given the price Trump just put on his head.
"And, as usual, the fence around your yard is a terrible analogy for a border wall."
The wall isn't around the Pope's yard, it's around the Vatican which is its own city state. He literally lives inside a self-governing state which has a border wall.
Uh yeah except that wall was built in the 9th century to protect the Vatican from literal pirates.
America is under siege by taco pirates.
MMM....tacos...
Oh. Well that makes it ok then. You know, since nothing that has been built can be torn down in a symbolic gesture about the openness of the Church. Not even at the direction of the Church's father/country's head of state. Or in the case of the Vatican, the same person.
What purpose does the wall his predecessors built serve today?
The same purpose as the rest of the buildings in the Vatican. To be historic monuments for tourists to come look at.
The better question is why bother tearing down the wall when any asshole can just walk through the gates?
I'm very confused that people actually think that pointing out that the Pope lives in a place with historical fortifications makes some kind of point about anything at all.
I mean, fuck the dumbass commie Pope. But it seems pretty clear to me that there isn't any contradiction between wanting to keep some walls that are a historic part of an ancient city and suggesting that fortifying a long border is perhaps not a good thing.
The point is that very few areas in Vatican City are open to the public. sure, you can stroll through St Peters or the museum, but try walking down the Citta del Vaticano without a work permit or other government-issued form of identification allowing you there.
Walk right through the security checkpoints established at each gate, after you are searched. I'm sure you can just go,through and start working without a government stamp too, right?
BZZZZZZZT! You actually have to apply through their guest worker program which has strict caps in place.
Here's the other thing. The Vatican City is completely owned by the Catholic Church and no one is employed there if not by the church. If it's all private property, then the immigration policy is irrelevant since they can exclude whoever they want and decline to employ anyone they want.
This is a very different situation to immigration law in the US, where the government claims the right to tell me who I can allow on my property or employ.
So they've had hundreds of years of pirate-free living in which to tear it down. Yet they haven't. And continue to have what may be the most restrictive immigration policy on the planet. Just who I want to learn about "open borders" from.
built in the 9th century to protect the Vatican from literal Muslim pirates.
Don't leave out the most cogent part, Hugh.
It's also worth noting the only way to become a citizen of Vatican City is through a guest-worker program...
Do as the Holy Say, not as the Holy See.
Lol, well done!
*applause*
Oh shit, it's just a bulletproof front shield now. My bad, Hugh.
Now, explain to me how a fence is a bad analogy. He didn't say border walls. He said wherever they may be. Wherever. Not on the Mexican border...not around my country club...not around his little palace...not around his city-state. W. H. E. R. E. V. E. R.
He's a hypocrite until he dismantles the security systems he has in place around his kingdom. And your blind hatred of Trump is keeping you from seeing my point.*
*Just to be clear, Trump is an idiot that I would never consider supporting or even voting for. He is a despicable human being. But that doesn't keep me from pointing out that a lot of the criticisms levied at a candidate with less than a 20% chance of impacting me seem out of proportion to the much fewer criticisms or quoting of candidates that have actual Liberty-robbing voting records.
He is a despicable human being that has to be defended over any stupid thing he says because Hillary or Bernie or Muslim.
I don't defend trump. But just because I think he's an imbecile doesn't mean I should stop pointing out the hypocrisy of others.
Damn, I love a lot of you people on here to death. But your hatred of trump has somewhat blinded you to the idiocy or dispicable nature of so many other people it's mind-boggling.
The man is scum. I know. But that doesn't mean we can't point out an exchange where nobody is a winner an both participants (Trump and whoever else) are assholes. Why does that point seem to escape so many otherwise intelligent people here?
so many otherwise intelligent people here?
Facts presented are not in evidence.
I...er, You... what were we talking about again?
*wanders off to eat paint chips*
But just because I think he's an imbecile doesn't mean I should stop pointing out the hypocrisy of others.
Same here.
Why does that point seem to escape so many otherwise intelligent people here?
Because social signalling trumps (swear to go, not intended as a joke) intellectual honesty.
Occasionally people say things that they don't mean absolutely literally. Amazing, but true.
perhaps the father of the largest denomination in the world ought to take a moment to think of what he's saying before he opens his pie hole. Because, unlike Trump, his words often carry great sway with billions of people.
Yeah, probably.
I'd start with all the commie bullshit. Stuff about building bridges and not walls seems like the sort of stuff he should be saying as the leader of an organization with "catholic" in its name. But it's not my club, so it's none of my business.
Or maybe he could use his influence to help improve conditions in Latin America by opposing official corruption, helping the U.S. to understand ending the Drug War would help those countries, and by embracing markets by expanding the charitable operations of the church to take over more social programs that those Latin American governments currently run.
A fence is a bad analogy, because fences mark property lines. I can leave my gates open and allow any person who is in need of rest or refreshment to come onto my property, eat my food, sleep in my house or whatever, but I cannot do the same for my neighbor's property, and a fence helps to delineate where those boundaries are. Unless you are acknowledging that the government owns the entire country, a border wall doesn't equate to a fence around private property. And yes, Trump sucks so hard it's depressing that he has any support at all, but this pope has been pretty bad about a lot of things as well. Still, having to choose between the two, I would definitely choose the pope over the hairbag.
A fence is a bad analogy, because fences mark property lines.
Not necessarily. I've personally had fences not on my property lines any number of times. Hell, the fences I have now aren't on my property lines.
Fences are to prevent travel. Period. They should go either on or inside your property lines.
Aren't Catholics supposed to care more about good deeds than faith or something?
Care about them equally (as opposed faith alone) would be the simple explanation.
And Crusading against the Infidels. Who needs a wall when you have the Knights of the Order of Calatrava?
The Crusades were defensive actions.
* I'd also note that he lives in a walled palace with guards on duty 24 hours a day carrying machine guns. And he drives a car with a permanent wall keeping people away from him.*
And here I assumed the he in that sentence referred to Trump.
I wish I lived in a walled palace with guards on duty 24 hours a day carrying machine guns...
The Pope is a hypocritical asshole, as leftists often are. Vatican City has gigantic walls and armed guards. I doubt if they're "building bridges" to let in lots of poor people and Muslims.
Have you ever been to the Vatican? You can just walk right across the border.
POOR PEOPLE. AND. MUSLIMS.
Facts are for losers.
Well, that certainly explains why you present so few of them.
Don't anger the diabetic. He'll post more Hillary-on-Pelosi slashfic.
Yes, I have been there. And unless things have changed, nobody is allowed to just move in.
^ Yep. I don't know how anyone can miss this point. You can't move to the Vatican. How can the Pope declare that stopping people from moving into the US is 'unChristian' when his fucking city state has strong restrictions on who's allowed to live there?
You mean the Vatican City guest worker program, the type of program that would greatly reduce illegal immigration? The type pf program Trump opposes?
That was one of the few things I thought Bush got right.
(his worker visa program idea)
"You can just walk right across the border."
You can only be a citizen of the Vatican while you're working there. Last I checked I can't move into Vatican City and start living there, can I?
The point is a good one. The Vatican does strongly control who can live there. That's the relevant point and until the Pope decides to change that policy, he is a hypocrite.
Fewer than half of Vatican City's 800 residents are citizens.
And residency controls are not surprising for a country with only slightly more area than Disneyland.
Oh, so residency controls are ok for them but not for us? (I'm largely for open immigration, by the way)
What area is the threshold where residency controls are acceptable in your world, Hugh? Disneyland? Disney World? Euro Disney? Or does it extend somewhere beyond theme parks yet below the USA's?
The Vatican is basically a historical monument and a tourist attraction that is privately owned. There is no parrelel. This comparison is retarded.
It's a fucking nation-state!
In the most meaningless way possible.
Says the Canadian. :p
It's a nation-state with no public property.
Do you think any random Church in America has the right to dictate who can and cannot enter??
The Vatican is a giant church. It just happens to also be sovereign. If they had private property owners who were opposed to their policies, that would be one thing. The Church owns the entire thing.
The only thing separating it is the fact that it is its own sovereign entity, which makes all the difference to you. If the Vatican was EXACTLY the same, except that it was part of Italy legally speaking (but was still Church private property with the same restrictions on entry) you'd think that was totally okay.
What about the Church having no state above it changes this situation in your mind??
The Church owns all of Vatican City. The government does not own all of the United States. So yes, maybe slightly hypocritical, but not really the same situation.
The government does not own all of the United States.
Try not paying your property taxes and see how well that argument works.
I was there last December and had to stand in a longish line to go through a metal detector before I was allowed to step into St Peter's Square. Also, other than St Peter's Square, St Peter's Basilica, and the Vatican museums people cannot visit anything else in that state.
What about the Sistine Chapel?
You can see it as a part of your visit to the Vatican museums.
You can just walk right across the border into Mexico. But see what happens if you start building a house there and overstay your visa if you don't qualify under their economic standards.
Shit, illegal immigrant in Mexico didn't even enjoy due process until 2011.
Irrelevant.
I've worked in Mexico, Cytotoxic. They required me to have a visa like our H1B for me to work there. And guess what, there were Mexican engineers who resented me being there, too.
How is that irrelevant to a conversation about immigration/borders?
Is it because "Who the fuck would move to Mexico?"
Because Zimbabwe printing shitloads of money and devaluating the entire economy of Zimbambwe doesn't justify America doing the same thing to American money.
Just because your neighbor does something immoral doesn't mean its permissible for you to do so.
Every human being should be able to understand that fact.
ISIS doesn't make murder, rape, and terrorism a thing other people should be able to do morally. Likewise Mexico having an immoral immigration policy doesn't justify America adopting it as well. You don't get to do bad things just because other people are. Or else literally EVERYTHING, no matter how vile should be allowed as long as someone else has done so.
That doesn't make it irrelevant. It makes a good place to say what you did. (Which I agree with.)
Walking across the southern border of Mexico will get your ass tossed out of the country PDQ. Mexico does not look kindly on illegal immigrants from Guatemala and other such countries.
You can just walk right across the border.
True.
You just can't stay after hours.
"Grunka-lunka-dunkatey-darmedguards..."
Fuck you, Hugh. Does he have armed guards? Does he have an open immigration policy?
You can try to steer the conversation away from those two questions, but they're the only ones pertinent to whether he is a hypocrite or not.
Hypocrite? You mean like:
No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man's religion or faith.
and
As Trump himself tweeted just one week ago: "How can Ted Cruz be an Evangelical Christian when he lies so much and is so dishonest?"
Trump is the biggest hypocrite around. But my point about the Pope is still correct.
"Hey, sloopy, look over there! Pay no attention to the hypocrite in the mitre!"
Take a rage dump, mon.
http://www.cruxnow.com/church/.....llow-suit/
I suppose they could take more, but there's not a whole lot of space there.
Do you actually believe that the Vatican actually functions as an armed fortress today? Is everyone who lives in an ancient walled city and doesn't think that a border wall between the US and Mexico is a great idea a giant hypocrite?
I'm no fan of this pope, but that's an absurd criticism.
The heavily armed border of Vatican City.
Two families, temporarily? The very definition of a token gesture.
He's the autocratic head of a state that has a walled border and strict immigration restrictions. I'm not saying it's the best criticism ever, but I don't think it's an absurd leap.
It just is silly. The Vatican is entirely owned by the church and is a tiny city state that is generally open to anyone who wants to wander in from Rome. Whatever you think about immigration, it really is in no way comparable to a border wall between real, proper countries like the US and Mexico.
it really is in no way comparable to a border wall between real, proper countries like the US and Mexico.
True. His little fake country has much more of a border wall than the real countries. Which proves that real countries don't need closed borders? Somehow?
If the Vatican was just private property under Italy's sovereignty then you'd think it was fine.
Because the Vatican is a private entity OUTSIDE of State Control, making them their own sovereignty, you think it is bad that they control their private property.
Why do you think you should only get private property rights if there is a State reigning over you??
I don't think I've seen anyone in this thread say it was bad that they control it, just that it's hypocritical of one head of state to criticize another potential head of state for wanting to do what they themselves do. But maybe I'm misreading people.
Because the Vatican is a private entity OUTSIDE of State Control,
Its no more of a private entity than any other sovereign. It just has a tiny little patch of dirt that its sovereign over, but the sovereignty (and thus lack of private status) is just the same.
I just find it interesting that the Pope's armed guards are all immigrants. From Switzerland. The world's most famously neutral country supplies the entire armed forces for another country.
The Swiss have historically provided a lot of mercenaries. Which is basically what the Swiss Guard is.
Prestigious ones...but, yes, mercs.
Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Pope Francis, tear down this wall!
Breitbart? Meh.
"...this is coming from a man who lives in a city-state completely surrounded, literally, by giant walls. Vatican City is a literal fortress."
Pretty funny stuff
In a completely retarded kind of way.
Not saying the Pope's not one to be criticizing other's choices, but the guy wears a dress. Let he who doesn't live in a glass house cast the first stone. Whatever. Guy's a loser anyway. Catholics had a monopoly on Christianity for years - yuuuge monopoly, I mean, billions of dollars they made off this business - and look at them now. Sad, really. Pope Trump would never have let that happen, I'll tell you that much. Am I right? C'mon. You go around crucifying people like the Catholic Church used to do and now you're just a religion for Mexicans and other rapists and murderers like that? Gimme a break, this guy wants to be telling me about how to build a wall when I built so many walls, yuuuge walls, great walls, classy walls, I'm telling you, so many walls like you wouldn't believe. Whatever. I'm self-funded, the Pope's gotta go around taking up collections for his money. You ever been in one of those church buildings? I swear to God, this is true, they pass around like a saucer thing and ask people to put money in it like they're some kinda monkey show or something. Can you believe it? I couldn't believe it. Guy just asks people for money like it's a charity. Run the damn thing like a business and you can charge people admission, that's how Donald J. Trump runs a business, I can tell you that much. If Donald J. Trump was Pope he wouldn't be running around in a dress begging for spare change. The Catholic Church would be so much better if I was running the place. Whatever.
Don't give him any ideas...
And what's with that Jesus character, anyway. What kind of messiah gets crucified? What a loser! I worship messiahs that don't get crucified! There's even a passage where Satan tries to make a deal with him. And what the hell does he do? He passes up the opportunity. You can bet like hell if I were the messiah, we'd have made an AMAZING deal, a WONDERFUL deal. Instead, this guy just starts yelling at Satan! What an incredible loser! No class. Sad, really.
The Trump Rant is a whole new genre of literature.
I could read them all day. It's going to be yuuge!
Damn it Jerryskids, I'm laughing so hard my boss checked in on me.
I've been down on the Pope for decades, but now that Trump does it, it's suddenly cool.
Gone down on the Pope? *re-reads* Oh, boring.
Yeah, that's how i read it too. I was like, wait, since when is SugarFree a 13-year-old altar boy?
It all depends on what he's cooking up on his blog...
NOT. GOING. TO. LOOK.
I really don't want to hear about who you go down on.
Get your own jokes you schmuck.
SCHLONGED!
Given that Trump isn't a member of a denomination that recognizes the authority of the pope, I'd say telling him to piss off is an entirely appropriate response. What next - does the pope get to decide who's Jewish or Muslim too?
Given that the priest Bergoglio isn't a member of a protestant denomination...
Well, he is the Pontifex Maximus....get it?
*Throws 2000 year old paving stone*
You're just jealous of his hair, Robby.
The pope has the authority to judge whether someone is a good Catholic (though there is some due process involved in church law), and Catholicism does claim to be the universal Christian church (all other Christian denominations are schisms with varying degrees of heretical content from the Mother Church). So Francis has some reason to think he has the ability to judge whether someone is a good Christian or not.
Presbyterians like the Don and me have the ability to tell the Papist loser to go piss up a rope.
Yeah! If you want to rule all Christians, next time don't lose the 30 years war.
Well, yes. That does go along with being a Presbyterian.
I don't give a shit what the pope says. Until he renounces communism he can fuck right off. If he speaks otherwise punch the stupid motherfucker in the mouth. Hard. Then give him a good solid kick.
I dont understand the immigration issue, why it causes people to lose their minds. Pointing out that the pope lives in a walled city with very strict immigration rules is a perfectly sound criticism. Otherwise intelligent people start drooling on themselves and babbling nonsense when this topic comes up.
I don't recall you ever renouncing communism, so who gives a shit what you say?
Cosmos gotta cosmos.
I solidly renounce communism.
Better?
Me a cosmo? Not a yokeltarian?
I don't even know who I am anymore.
You're Tulpa. Or Mary. I forget which one.
"I dont understand the immigration issue, why it causes people to lose their minds."
You should do some self-reflection.
" Pointing out that the pope lives in a walled city with very strict immigration rules is a perfectly sound criticism. "
If you're completely ignorant and idiotic. Protip: read the comments above.
"Otherwise intelligent people start drooling on themselves and babbling nonsense when this topic comes up."
But enough about you.
Clearly I hit a nerve
I am sensitive to concentrated derp. That would explain it.
I am sensitive to concentrated derp
Considering how often you spew it, you've obviously built up quite the tolerance.
I dont understand the immigration issue, why it causes people to lose their minds.
Yeah, it's nuts. People who normally are all about private property rights and free association all of a sudden act like the whole country is collectively owned and that how people use their own property and resources is somehow subject to a vote.
The Vatican just doesn't compare. It's not a real country. It has no permanent citizens, no native population and no citizens who aren't part of the church organization.
Its a mystery. Since any kind of border enforcement whatsoever impinges on the rights of private property owners and everyone else, the only principled position is to abandon the border altogether. Right?
Give em Hell, Don....Some of us aren't so quick to forget the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre. Religion of peace...psshh
I'm pretty sure the Pope would agree that he is not entitled to, nor does he, judge others faith.
Pretty sure he does. Isn't one of the basic jobs of every Priest to hear Confession, make a JUDGEMENT, and prescribe a penance?
A priest isn't supposed to disclose that stuff.
Check out Luke 6:37 and following. The pope has no more right to judge another person than any other christian.
Doesn't he claim to be the Vicar of Christ on Earth, head of the True Church?
"Our God is red hot, your god ain't diddley squat."
If he isn't ready to judge other's faith, he should find himself a new job.
Mormon. The correct answer is Mormon.
I bet that the people in the Vatican press office, when they come into work, the first thing they do is say, "I can't *wait* to find out what wonderful off-the-cuff remark His Holiness said today!" /sarc
That being said, the Pope opined that someone who wanted to build *only* walls, not bridges, was no Christian, but he said he didn't know if Trump fit that description. So that doesn't seem like an utter disastrous thing to say.
"If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS's ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened."
Yeah, the Pope will rue the day the American people voted for one of those pro-ISIS-taking-over-the-world candidates. /sarc
And I bet if he had to choose between
(a) Rome and the Vatican falling under control of a hostile power
and
(b) a pro-abortion president in the U.S.
he'd probably go for (a).
The Popes have had to endure hostile occupation of Rome and the Vatican by war-crazed Germans, revolutionary mobs, Italian armies, and Attila the Hun and the Saracens getting uncomfortably close to the city.
Stuff happens.
On the contrary, it IS very loving and caring---i.e. Christian---to build a wall to prevent the poor, uncomprehending, downtrodden from entering and exposing themselves to the evil, destructive, exploitation of Capitalism.
And obese children. We need to save the starving Guatemalans from that great evil.
But - who will clean my toilets? Surely not me!
My roomate's sister makes $56 an hour on the internet . She has been without work for 4 months but last month her pay was $16168 just working on the internet for a few hours. linked here......ef........

"Trump didn't appreciate the remark. " Actually, I shockingly agree with "the Donald" and have longed to back-talk against the Pope myself.
This pope is addicted to adulation from the masses, instead of doing his "job". It's a safe bet he's always fantasized about being as loved and idolized as his inspirations, Juan and Evita Peron. And he doesn't comprehend he's sending a wrong message of dependence on government, reliance on hand-outs, class envy and resentment, class division, etc. But no matter, because he's LOVED by the unwashed masses!
The next Pope (assuming one even cares) needs to be from 'Murica, and not some Marxist, Latin-American nation like Argentina.
This pope is addicted to adulation from the masses, instead of doing his "job".
That's the thing I find most ridiculous about him. He seems far more dedicated to getting good reviews from a worldly media than you'd expect the head of a religion whose chief leader said that "my kingdom is not of this world" and "many are called, but few are chosen."
"Pope Francis had harsh words for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday: "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian"
I am opposed to Trump in every way I'm aware of--but fuck Pope Francis.
Telling people that you can absolve them of their sins, endorsing a rewrite of the ten commandments, keeping people mired in poverty, and women anguished over the use of birth control--not because of anything in the text of the Bible but because of some medieval ideas about sex being only for procreation?
If and when Jesus comes back, the first thing he's going to do is ruin popes like Pope Francis for spreading misery in Jesus' name.
Pope Francis doesn't speak for Jesus, and he doesn't speak for Christians either. I'd rather burn at the stake than ever ask his scraggly ass for forgiveness for anything.
P.S. If Pope Francis wanted to, he could alleviate however much poverty along the Mexican border by auctioning off a small fraction of the Vatican's art collection.
And I'm sick of his busting capitalism's balls all the time. You'd think a person who had the ear of God would know a little something of Austrian Economics, and political-economics in general. He should wipe that dopey, dumber-than-thou, retarded grin off his face, and study the subject a little more. Then maybe he'd lean that the number of people saved from death and crushing poverty from the late 18th-century onward, as a result of capitalism, free trade, and the industrial revolution, probably outstrips the raw number of people who died previously in the whole of human history.
BTW, I think today, Dope Francis actually opined that contraception is now consistent with Catholic teachings.
It is interesting that as bad as Trump is, Pope Francis is even worse.
Can anybody think of an issue that the Pope is better on than Donald Trump?
I can't think of one apart from immigration.
Why doesn't the media go after the pope for being a social conservative?
Hey Pope Francis, what do you think about gay marriage? When can we expect to see gay marriages performed by priests in the Catholic church?
Hey Pope Francis, how do you feel about abortion?
Hey Pope Francis, how do you feel about creationism? What about prayer in public schools?
Hey Pope Francis, do you support Ireland and Spain making divorce legal?
Whether you hate social conservatives more or you hate Marxists, Pope Francis should be at the top of your most hated list--because he's both!
Hey Pope Francis, did you know Marx called religion, "the opiate of the people"?
The media doesn't go after the pope because he says the right things on the stuff that they really care about. Which should tell the people that support progressives everything they need to know about where they actually stand with progressives.
Dude. He's the leader of the biggest cult on earth. Give the man some respect.
Ann Corcoran says this kind of work by the Catholic and other churches is not Christian charity. "As harsh as it sounds," she says, "I look on it as thievery when a supposedly non-profit 'religious charity' helps itself to the U.S. Treasury and then pats itself on the back for doing good works. And then lobbies Congress for more money for itself to boot!"
