Muslim Heroes of the Holocaust
A Mideast website responds to Netanyahu's blunder
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a lot of heat in the wake of the recent speech in which he suggested that Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, had given Adolf Hitler the idea of murdering Europe's Jews when the two met in 1941.
"Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time," Netanyahu told the World Zionist Congress, "he wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, 'If you expel them, they'll all come here.' 'So what should I do with them?' he asked. He said, 'Burn them.'"
Netanyahu's anecdote was not true: Hitler hardly needed al-Husseini's suggestions on murdering Jews, and anyway by the time Hitler and al-Husseini met that November, the murder of Jews was underway. The prime minister was quickly criticized by historians in Israel and elsewhere, and subjected to harsh ridicule and parody on Facebook and Twitter. Even the Mufti's granddaughter weighed in. Netanyahu at first claimed that he had been misunderstood, but he eventually attempted to "clarify" his remarks away.
One of the more interesting reactions to Netanyahu's speech appeared on the Middle Eastern website, stepfeed.com, where Beirut-based journalist Jason Lemon assembled a list headlined, "5 times Muslims saved Jews during the Holocaust." Lemon wrote that Netanyahu's remarks "were intended to demonize Palestinians and Muslims," so in response he would "highlight stories of Muslims who saved Jews during the Holocaust."
Netanyahu was probably less interested in demonizing all Palestinians and Muslims than he was in demonstrating the depth of Judeophobia in the region, though whatever his motives were he blundered. In fact, some Muslims did play a role in Hitler's genocide, especially al-Husseini. According to Nazis, Islamists and the Making of the Modern Middle East, by Wolfgang G. Schwanitz and the late Barry Rubin, there were Muslims from the Balkans and the then-Soviet republics, some 53,000 of them (equal to four divisions), who served the Nazis in the German Army, including the SS. They were recruited with the help of the Mufti. Muslim chaplains trained in Dresden and Goben emerged as captains in the SS. The Mufti propagandized among Arabs on behalf of Hitler while fomenting bloody anti-Jewish riots in the Middle East. One of the consequences of Netanyahu's blunder has been to remind people of the largely forgotten (in the West) Mufti even as he obscured the extent of al-Husseini's villainy.
Nevertheless, highlighting the courage and heroism of those Muslims who risked their own well-being to save the lives of Jews, and rescuing the names of these people from obscurity, is a valuable idea on its own terms, as well as a useful response to the Netanyahu uproar. This is a story that has received remarkably little attention, especially among Muslims themselves. Much of the attention it has received is due to the efforts of one man: Robert Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Satloff spent years investigating the efforts by Muslims of Arab countries to aid their Jewish neighbors during WWII, publishing his findings in his 2007 book, Among the Righteous. (In 2010, PBS produced a documentary based on Satloff's work; the preview is here.) Here's an annotated version of Lemon's list, which includes both Arab and non-Arab Muslims:
Selahattin Ulkumen. "While serving as the Turkish consul of Rhodes under German occupation," Lemon writes, "Ulkumen was able to save approximately 50 Jews. One of the individuals was even on a train bound for the Auschwitz death camp when Ulkumen intervened and was able to remove him from the train due to the man's wife's Turkish citizenship."
Ulkumen is honored at Yad Vashem, Israel's official memorial to Holocaust victims which also pays tribute to non-Jews who aided Jews in danger. Its Website points out how determined Ulkumen was to save anyone he could. For example, he demanded that the Gestapo release the detained Jewish husbands and wives of Turkish citizens, "insisting that according to Turkish law, spouses of Turkish citizens were considered to be citizens themselves." The Germans complied with this supposed Turkish law, though Ulkumen had in fact made it up.
Si Kaddour Benghabrit. "Born in Algeria, Benghabrit was in charge of the Grand Mosque of Paris when the Nazis invaded," Lemon says. "He is credited with helping to save between 500 and 1,600 Jews by sheltering them in the mosque until they could obtain certificates of Muslim identity, allowing them to escape safely."
There's actually a good deal more to this dramatic story. Paris' Grand Mosque sheltered both Jews and Christian resistance fighters during WWII. It not only helped hide fugitive Jews, it supplied them with the false papers identifying them as Muslims. (The fact that both Jews and Muslims circumcise was a helpful factor in this masquerade.) The Germans learned that the mosque was hiding Jews, and even threatened its leaders, but under Benghabrit the mosque persisted. In one case involving a Jewish refugee, Benghabrit even had the refugee's grandfather's name engraved on an abandoned Muslim tomb, in support of the man's assumed Muslim identity; he sheltered at least one Jewish orphan in his own home. Benghabrit, a true anti-al-Husseini, was instrumental in making Paris' mosque, in Robert Satloff's words, "a virtual Grand Central Station for the Underground Railroad of Jews in France…."
Khaled Abdul-Wahab. "Serving as an interlocutor between the Nazi occupiers and the local residents of a Tunisian town, Abdul-Wahab overheard Nazi soldiers discussing their plans to rape a certain Jewish woman," according to Lemon. "Acting quickly, he hid the woman, her family, and approximately two dozen other Jewish families at his farm outside of town where they remained safe for four months until the end of the occupation."
Tunisian Jews were saved from extermination only because time ran out on the Nazis. They had occupied the country, instituted forced labor on the men, and were in control of the lives of the community. Abdul-Wahab hid families on his land to save them from harm, though in fact the Germans knew where these families were.
He was nominated for recognition by Yad Vashem a few years ago, but the nomination proved controversial. The institution recognized Abdul-Wahab's merit and courage, but noted that what he did was not illegal in Tunisia and that own his life was not in danger, long-standing parameters for Yad Vashem's recognition. Abdul-Wahab's supporters dismissed such reasoning, while noting that they had not always been strictly applied anyway. As one supporter argued in the Jerusalem Post, "Did Abdul-Wahhab not risk his personal safety and welfare? Did he not risk questioning and possible interrogation or arrest by the Germans who controlled Tunisia?" Abdul-Wahhab is honored in other "Gardens of the Righteous," one in Washington, D.C. and another in Milan, Italy.
Si Ali Sakkat. "The retired mayor of Tunis and a former government minister lived in retirement near to a forced labor camp for Jews in Tunisia," writes Lemon. "During an allied bombing, around 60 Jews were able to escape the camp and sought refugee [sic] at Sakkat's compound. He cared for them until Tunisia was liberated by the allied forces."
As Robert Satloff points out, Si Ali Sakkat acted without knowing what consequences his decision might carry. He "had no idea which way the tide of war was turning: Would the German hold their ground? Would the Allies take Tunis? But he had to make a quick decision. He ordered his farmhands to open the gate and find food and shelter for all sixty Jews. The Jewish laborers of Zaghouan [the labor camp] found safety and comfort under Si Ali's watchful care."
Albania. "The predominantly Muslim country of Albania was occupied by Hitler's ally, Italy, during World War II," notes Lemon. "Nonetheless, it managed to protect all of its Jews and even accepted and protected 600 to 1,800 additional Jewish refugees. When national leaders were asked by Nazi officials to provide lists of Jews residing in the country, they refused to do so."
Albanians certainly deserve great credit for saving their tiny Jewish population (usually estimated at only 200 at the start of the war, a number soon swollen by refugees), but Lemon's reference to Italy is somewhat misleading. The Italian fascists may have been making the lives of Italian Jews miserable with their restrictive racial laws, but they consistently resisted turning over Jews in their occupied areas to the Germans. In Croatia, in southern France, and elsewhere, Italian authorities successfully stalled their increasingly frustrated Nazi colleagues. Italy's unlikely protection was to end in the occupied areas, as well as in Italy itself, with the fall of the Mussolini regime in 1943. After that, Germans assumed control. Though there were to be round-ups by the Nazis even in Rome, the Albanians continued to protect their own Jews, and those who had taken refuge in the country.
Albanian Muslims were acting in accordance with Besa, a code of honor that, among other things, demands that one act compassionately on behalf of others when they are in need. Indeed, in some villages Muslim families competed to provide sanctuary, considering it an ethical imperative and an honor. Photographer Norman Gershman chronicled the efforts of the Muslims of Albania and Kosovo in his 2008 book, Besa: Muslims Who Saved Jews in WWII.
There are many more such stories of anti-Muftis. Not long ago, Yad Vashem added 70 Muslims to its roll of the "righteous" who had aided Jews at their own peril. In 2013, a group of British Jews mounted an exhibit highlighting such dangerous humanitarian efforts by Muslims. One of the stories it tells is of a Bosnian Muslim family, the Hardegas, who saved a neighboring Jewish family, the Kavilios, from the Nazis. Fifty years later, during the Bosnian Civil War, it was the Hardega family that faced danger, and the Kavilios who sheltered them.
Fiyaz Mughal, who helped present the British exhibit, told the BBC that, "One of the main drivers of the project is that there are some small sections in Jewish communities who are trying to rewrite history and say that Muslims overwhelmingly helped the Nazis.
"And on the other side, there is a small section of the Muslim community who do not want to talk about the Holocaust for the sake of not wanting to build up an empathy with Jewish communities.
"That is unacceptable," he said, "because factually it's untrue."

This is cherry-picking; see "Islam and Nazi Germany's War", Motadel.
Both sides tried to enlist Islam to its side, and given the Muslim factions of the time, both sides were 'successful' at various locations and times.
But there is no doubt that the Mufti of Jerusalem had high hopes of allying himself and his followers on Hitler's side to eliminate the Jews from that area.
It's also a strange form of tu non quoque, for lack of a better term. Evidence of al-Husseini's role as a key player in the planning and execution of the Nazi Holocaust was dismissed as hearsay during the Nuremberg trials; so Netanyahu's error is really one of evidentiality. That is, he (probably willfully) stated previously leveled claims, of which there is some evidence, with a greater degree of certainty than warranted. That having been said, listening examples of Muslims who sheltered Jews during the Holocaust doesn't make Netanyahu more wrong. Although, I do agree with Freund that highlighting incidents of good Muslim-Jewish relations do have some utility. If not only to remind folks that athe Zionist project had early Arab support as a way to stick it to the Ottomans.
Sugarfree is a Zionist Freemason.
It was less as an anti-Ottoman thing, but that many arab leaders though that more Jews would lead to economic success, but they still wanted Jews under Arab rule and not an independent state
"5 times Muslims saved Jews during the Holocaust."
Yes, this did happen. 20 or so years ago I saw a documentary on many such events in Morocco. The historical section was followed by interviews with the heroes muslim families. The living members of the families, in retelling their family lore, have changed the roles to helping the Nazis round up and kill the jews and of which they are very proud.
Freund claims that the statement "Hitler didn't want to exterminate the jews at that time" is untrue. From what I see it wasn't. What I don't see is how it is relevant to al-Husseini's statement "Burn them." which the author doesn't deny. What difference does it make in a broader sense whether Hitler had the idea at the time or not? al-Husseini agreed with it.
This is the same shit we always get from the anti-semites. Excuses for Jew haters.
"What I don't see is how it is relevant to al-Husseini's statement "Burn them." which the author doesn't deny. What difference does it make in a broader sense whether Hitler had the idea at the time or not? al-Husseini agreed with it."
I will state this clearly for any who are lurking: This is not in any way a defense of Hitler.
I'm pretty sure Hitler paid no attention to al-Husseini's statement; it was not a detail he particularly cared about. Development of the tactics regarding the elimination of the Jews was the duty of those below him, and the Wannasee conference settled on poison gas followed by incineration of the corpses, since the methods tried prior to that were found to be too 'expensive'.
So, yes, it seems al-Husseini probably said that. And no, it didn't affect the Nazi approach to the Jews one bit. And picking cherries to find circumstances where some Muslims aided some Jews is totally irrelevant to the issue.
It never occurred to me that it could be read as a defense of Hitler.
"What I don't see is how it is relevant to al-Husseini's statement "Burn them." which the author doesn't deny. What difference does it make in a broader sense whether Hitler had the idea at the time or not? al-Husseini agreed with it."
I was referring specifically to al-Husseini's violent anti-Semitism and that there being other violent anti-Semites in the world with whom he agreed does not in any way absolve him of guilt.
So yeah, there is no defense of Hitler here, nor was there intended to be.
"It never occurred to me that it could be read as a defense of Hitler."
I knew you and those who know my views wouldn't do so. Nor did I see your comments as such.
But lying scums like commie-kid have been known to read comments 'in a certain way'.
I friend of mine, and 80 year old Jew, had never fired a gun in his life and wanted to try it. While looking at my collection he noticed my K-98 Mauser which is in really good shape, one of the few that still have the original marks.
His demeanor changed and he asked me why I have it.
"My great uncle killed it's owner and sent it home. He shot him with one of these (point to Garand). I don't have it to remember the owner but in honor of how it came to me. It is a war trophy, like a deer's head on the wall."
His response: "Oh, ok. Can I shoot that one?"
Fortunately I have a large cache of 8x57 german manufacture from 1943. He kept the brass he fired.
Extra cool story dude.
I have a Nazi armband that has a similar story ? my great-uncle pulled it off a German officer he captured.
I found this link particulary interesting. From the link.
"The areas discussed were detailed in a letter to Felix Frankfurter, President of the Zionist Organisation of America, on 3 March 1919, when Faisal wrote :
"The Arabs, especially the educated among us, look with the deepest sympathy on the Zionist movement. Our deputation here in Paris is fully acquainted with the proposals submitted yesterday by the Zionist Organization to the Peace Conference, and we regard them as moderate and proper."[13]"
I happen to be reading "Enemies, A history of the FBI" by Tim Weiner ( no relation to Caelos Danger I assume ). Felix plays an important role in this non fiction best seller. Felix was a young Liberal Harvard law professor ( ring a bell anyone ?) who was a founding member of the ACLU. He was also a member of the Liberal Club at Harvard. He defended members of the Communist Party charged by Hoover as being insurrectionist when bombs were going off on Wall Street in the teens' of the 20th century in NY. He also was one of the lawyers defending Sacco and Vanzetti in court.
I'm curious to his connection to the creation of Isreal and where he stood.
I would think that most Muslims figured that they were "Untermensch" too.
Nazi propaganda claimed a great racial difference between the Jews and the Muslims, and quite a few bought into it. More so when it looked like they might win, less so later.
The Islamic world would dearly love to see all of the Jews slaughtered and Israel annihilated, as would a great deal of Leftists.
While not every Muslim/Leftist hates Jews, that is the greater consensus.
I don't know about Western lefty progs would dearly love it (maybe the really whacked out ones) but at the very least I could see indifference on their part. They're about due for a good pogrom.
Benjamin Netanyahu's speech inspired a Downfall parody clip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R0sAW35nzc
al-Husseini was involved in hunting down and murdering Jews and was accused at Nuremberg but escaped to Egypt, I think, avoiding trial. So we don't know about the evidence against him.
Some Muslims welcomed Jews into Palestine because they brought development, al-Husseini was responsible for indoctrinating Muslims into anti Semitism. I think that the former were mainly absentee landlords in Palestine (living in Beirut or Cairo). They were later demonized themselves by al-Husseini and his followers for their "treason". So whatever faction of Muslims that welcomed Jews into the area, they were eliminated by the Jew-haters.
Netanyahu was correct insofar as: Muslims share some responsibility for the Holocaust and irrational Jew-hatred has a long history for Arabs.
The Jew-hatred is important because it's just not possible to have a peace treaty with a nation that believes the other represents pure evil, as Hitler, al-Husseini, Iranian mullahs and Hamas believe. The Palestinian Authority must follow in order to remain in power, because that's what the people are taught to believe.
Netanyahu ruffled feathers not because of the very minor historical inaccuracy of implying that al-Husseini gave Hitler ideas but because of the pessimism he injected into the peace treaty industry. We must believe that peace is possible, that these people can just learn to get along, but Netanyahu knows they never can as long as Muslims demonize Jews in such an extreme manner.
Another important point is that al-Husseini was a "Palestinian" and a mentor of Arafat. It has been reported that Arafat called him "uncle".
Another really really important point is that al Husseini was not elected but appointed to his office by bureaucrats in the (British) colonial office.
Grand Mufti was always appointed whether it was Egypt, Ottomans, Brits, or Jordanians who controlled it
trueman is a lying piece of shit who has zero evidence for his claims. He posts here only to get his name on a site which isn't his pathetic blog.

"OTOH his information in this case is correct."
As it often is when it's both trivial and/or irrelevant. Broken clocks, etc.
Ask truman for a cite once.
Oh, and a good place to start is to ask him to back his claim that the Ukrainians were 'notorious Nazi collaborators' during WWII.
Nothing I've read agrees with that; maybe you can sweet-talk that lying POS into offering some evidence.
I doubt it.
Sevo|11.2.15 @ 1:05AM,
In "debate" it is most effective to ask for cites when the information in question is incorrect.
Yes - truman is mostly false. And his belief system doesn't match reality. But you should save your "guns" for when firing them would have some significant effect. IMO. YMMV.
BTW the collaborator nations include France and Poland. Ukraine? Not so much.
Some Ukrainians were certainly collaborators. Scroll down the names of guards at Auschwitz and other Polish camps. Ukrainians are well represented. Ukrainian Auxilary Police also assisted the Einsatzgruppen in idenifying and eliminating Jewish villages in the countryside. (Timothy Snyder's 'Bloodlands', Adrian Weale's 'Army of Evil', and various Beevor works attest to this.) Much of the early support for the Nazis, of course, stemmed from the general hatred of Stalin and the depradations committed by Ukranian communists, not least, the famine that killed over 3 million of their fellow citizens (the only famine in recorded history where farmers abandoned the countryside to search for food in the cities).
Heroes of the Holocaust? Hmmm, if you search reason's website for the word "Holocaust" you get tons of hits. Strangely, none of them are glorifying heroes who saved Jews from the ovens until an article about how much the Mohamadeans helped the Jews in WWII?
Quick, get a Sheldon Richman article to "balance" it out!
Sheldon will write about why the US had no interest in antagonizing Germany or Japan. And thus the US could have stayed out of WW2 Because bad governments in the rest of the world are not a US or liberty interest.
The US didn't have interests in German affairs, and the affairs with the Japanese were a product of former allies in Asian affairs having had a falling out. Japan was skeptical (given technologies of the 20's-30's) that they could sustain their nation on an island alone and became ultra-expansionary at the cost to the US interests still remaining in the area. But the US had little interest in Germany's desire for resources in Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The Old Right had no desire to fight Germans, and the left stayed out when Mother Russia had its Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. Of course, once Germany attacked Russia, the leftists/communists in the US quickly steered the US into war with Germany.
And as far as getting involved in extra-territorial intrigues of other "bad governments", the founders warned us against doing so, and in the end how has it worked out for us? Picking a side on a thousand year old tribal dispute(s) is a losing proposition.
I don't have to adore Richman's writings - he does seem to have about a 101 IQ and gets mixed up easily, lacking concision - but he is right sometimes. Of course, he is sometimes right for the wrong reasons, at least the ones he expresses.
The Founders didn't have to worry about keeping sea lanes open for trade. That was a job the Brits handled at that time. Although if you consider the Barbary Wars they did not handle it well. Americans derided the Brit's cost benefit analysis.
"Millions for defense. Not a penny for tribute." 1812
Of course we don't like to dwell on the First US War Against Islam. And prefer to think that it has nothing to do with the current situation. Well some think that.
There was also a later theme "Perdicaris Alive or Raisuli Dead". 1904
==========================
Can the US live free with the rest of the world in slavery? I doubt it. The Cold War was based on that premise.
"Millions for defense. Not a penny for tribute." Should be 1797.
The problem is that this ignores the fact that Muslim/Arab judeophobia, which was predominately concentrated in Palestine 75 years ago, today has spread throughout the Muslim world. I seem to recall reading that a Malyasian politician blamed "the Jews" for the country's financial problems (many of which did result from the vicious actions of George Soros, but then he isn't much of a Jew).
Islamic Jew Hatred goes back to Muhammad. He hated the Jews because the 3 Jewish Tribes of Medina rejected his "religion". Muhammad made Medina Judenrein.
Man, this smacks of desperation. You can come up with a comparable list of Germans (some of whom were Nazi party members) who assisted German Jews during the Holocaust; it would still remain true that the Nazis killed Jews as policy and many if not most Germans either agreed or didn't do anything to stop it.
I think you can draw an analogy between that and the Muslim world today. I fully believe that the vast majority of Muslims not only are not and will never be terrorists but that, if asked in a theoretical regard, would not support terrorism. I also believe (and I think the evidence supports this) that most Muslims will not actively oppose terrorists in their midst and will treat the idea of jihadism with ambivalence at most provided the targets are Westerners or Israelis.

It is good to acknowledge the heroic actions of professed Muslims saving Jews from the Holocaust, but your argument is a fallacious one. You are subscribing to a common logical fallacy, i.e., attempting to redefine Islam based on the hypocritical actions of it's professed followers. This is akin to pointing to professed Vegans who eat meat and attempting to claim that Veganism promotes meat eating.

Islamic Doctrine is heavily Antisemitic. Muhammad hated Jews and subjugated and slaughtered them. The Qur'an refers to them as "Apes and Swine" and Muhammad attempted to undermine Judaism by claiming all the original Hebrew Prophets were actually "muslim" before Muhammad or Islam ever existed, and said the Jews had deviated from the original path of Allah.
--
Jews are considered "Najis" (dirty) as are all Kuffar (derogatory term for non-Muslims), dogs, pigs, etc, but Muhammad held greater hatred for them since the 3 Jewish tribes of Yathrib (later renamed Medina) rejected his "religion". This infuriated Muhammad and he made them pay with their property and their lives.

Here is but a very incomplete sampling of barely known pogroms and mass murderous violence against Jews living under Islamic rule, across space and time, all resulting from the combined effects of jihadism, general anti-dhimmi, and/or specifically Antisemitic motifs in Islam: 6,000 Jews massacred in Fez in 1033; hundreds of Jews slaughtered in Muslim Cordoba between 1010 and 1015; 4,000 Jews killed in Muslim riots in Grenada in 1066, wiping out the entire community; the Berber Muslim Almohad depredations of Jews (and Christians) in Spain and North Africa between 1130 and 1232, which killed tens of thousands, while forcibly converting thousands more, and subjecting the forced Jewish converts to Islam to a Muslim Inquisition; ...
Hitler and Jihad

Excerpt:
Perhaps the earliest recorded evidence of Hitler's serious interest in the jihad was provided by Muhammad 'Inayat Allah Khan [who adopted the pen name "al-Mashriqi"?"the Orientalist" or "the Sage of the East"]. Born in the Punjab in 1888, al-Mashriqi was a Muslim polymath who attended Cambridge on a government scholarship, and excelled in the study of oriental languages, mathematics, engineering, and the sciences.
---
Not only did Mashriqi translate the standard abridged version of Mein Kampf (then commonly available) from English into Urdu, during one of his sojourns in Europe, which included time spent in Berlin, he met Hitler in the early years of the Fuehrer's leadership of the National Socialist [Nazi] Party. Their meeting took place in 1926 at the National Library. Here is the gist of Mashriqi's report on his interaction with Hitler as described in a letter to the renowned scholar of Indian Islam, J.M.S. Baljon:
?"When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France and into Central Europe during the eight century when they were driven back at battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The Germanic people would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament."
~Adolf Hitler quoted by Albert Speer, Inside the Third Reich, page 96.
"Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers, already, you see, the world had already fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing Christianity! then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world. Christianity alone prevented them from doing so."
~Adolf Hitler, August 28, 1942, midday from Hitler's Secret Conversations, page 542)
"You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion...The Mohammedan religion too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"
~Adolf Hitler - August 28, 1942
The name Fatah is derived from the 48th Sura of the Qur'an, "al-Fath" (Conquest, Victory).
-
The Fatah Party (PA/PLO) was founded by the Nazi Holocaust war criminal, The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini. He recruited his distant cousin, Yassir Arafat and Abu Mazen, aka Mahmoud Abbas, and had them trained by a former Nazi SS Commando Officer in Guerilla/ Terrorist tactics.

Traces the history of PLO/Fatah, now better known as the 'Palestinian Authority,' the organization that will govern a future Palestinian State. The video shows how PLO/Fatah emerged from the German Nazi Final Solution. Hajj Amin al Husseini, father of the Palestinian Movement, creator of Fatah, and mentor to Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, was co-director with Adolf Eichmann of the death camp system that exterminated between 5 and 6 million European Jews in WWII.
Eichmann's deputy, SS-Hauptsturmf?hrer Dieter Wisliceny, testified regarding the Mufti's role in the Holocaust at Nuremberg.

"The Mufti [Hajj Amin] is a sworn enemy of the Jews and has always fought for the idea of annihilating the Jews. He sticks to this idea always, also in his talks with [Adolf] Eichmann ... The Mufti is one of the originators of the systematic destruction of European Jewry by the Germans, and he has become a permanent colleague, partner and adviser to Eichmann...in the implementation of this programme."

"In my opinion, the grand mufti, who has been in Berlin since 1941 played a role in the decision of the German government to exterminate the European Jews, the importance of which must not be disregarded. He had repeatedly suggested to the various authorities with whom he had been in contact, above all before Hitler, Ribbentrop and Himmler, the extermination of European Jewry. He considered this as a comfortable solution to the Palestinian problem. In is messages broadcast from Berlin, he surpassed us in anti-Jewish attacks. He was one of Eichmann's best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say that, accompanied by Eichmann, he has visited incognito the gas chamber of Auschwitz."

In reference to the "Final Solution"

"until the autumn of 1941... no one defined the final solution with precision, but all signs pointed toward some vast and as yet unspecified project of mass emigration."

"Since the 1995 publication of Michael Wildt's documentation on the SS's Security Service (Sicherheitsdienst SD) and the 'Jewish Question', it has been undisputed that from 1933 Nazi policy concerning the 'Jewish Question' aimed at the emigration of all Jews, preferably to Palestine. If their life were made miserable enough, Nazi planners calculated, the Jews would emigrate 'voluntarily' and leave their property behind. Moreover, the Ha'avara transfer agreement granted 'privileges' for those Jews willing to emigrate to Palestine, allowing them to transfer at least part of their property. Correspondingly, the Zionist movement was intentionally supported, whereas assimilatory associations in Germany were 'hindered as much as possible, in order to cause them to align themselves with the Zionist camp'."

In his memoirs after the war, The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Al-Husseini noted that "Our fundamental condition for cooperating with Germany was a free hand to eradicate every last Jew from Palestine and the Arab world. I asked Hitler for an explicit undertaking to allow us to solve the Jewish problem in a manner befitting our national and racial aspirations and according to the scientific methods innovated by Germany in the handling of its Jews." The answer I got from the Fuehrer was: 'The Jews are yours.'"

Haj Amin al-Husseini and Nazi Racial Policies in the Arab World

"The [1929] riots were accompanied by militant Arab slogans such as... 'Palestine is our land and the Jews our dogs...' [and] brutal acts by Arabs...such as the killings in Hebron, where small children were tortured by their murderers before being murdered. ...the Jewish community in Palestine found itself caught up in a wave of violent disturbances that swept with a fury through Jewish settlements and neighborhoods throughout the length and breadth of the country. The danger now appeared to threaten the very survival of the entire Jewish community."

Excerpt:
During the First World War, he served in Ottoman Turkey as the German vice consul of Erzerum. In addition to holding that post, Scheubner-Richter documented the Turkish massacres of Armenians as part of the Armenian Genocide.
...
At the end of September 1923, Scheubner-Richter provided Hitler with a lengthy plan for revolution, writing: "The national revolution must not precede the seizure of political power; the seizure of the state's police power constitutes the promise for the national revolution" and "to lay hands on the state police power in a way that is at least outwardly legal".[3]

During the Beer Hall Putsch, walking arm-in-arm with Hitler, he was shot in the lungs and died instantly as Hitler and others marched toward armed guards on 9 November 1923.[4] He had brought Hitler down and dislocated Hitler's right shoulder when he fell. He was the only first-tier Nazi leader to die during the Putsch. Of all the early party members who died in the Putsch, Adolf Hitler had claimed Scheubner-Richter to be the only "irreplaceable loss".[5] The first part of Hitler's book Mein Kampf is dedicated to Scheubner-Richter and the other fifteen men who died in the Putsch.
This was such a brilliant blunder by Netanyahu that I wonder if it was intentional. If he had made an accurate statement about al-Husseini, it would have been ignored by the media. By making an incorrect statement, Netanyahu has press around the world reporting on:
1) What a murderous, anti-Semitic shitbag al-Husseini really was - also allegedly Yasser Arafat's great-uncle and mentor.
and, while some Muslims did save Jews,
2) Many thousands fought for the Germans and actively helped with the Holocaust - including units al-Husseini actively recruited for such as the SS Handschar, the Aserbaidschanische Legion, and many more.
AND...
3) The story exposes the popular false narrative that Jews and Palestinian Arabs got along great until Israel was formed. The Jews were targets much earlier.
Google pay 97$ per hour my last pay check was $8500 working 1o hours a week online. My younger brother friend has been averaging 12k for months now and he works about 22 hours a week. I cant believe how easy it was once I tried it out.

Haj Amin Al Husseini was already in constant contact with senior Nazi officials, to whom he had made clear his opposition to Jews being allowed to emigrate to Palestine. When he finally met Hitler in 1941, there had not yet been a final decision to the "Jewish Question", but his stance was well known.
There had already been mass killings in conquered Eastern Europe, but no fixed protocol. The (Berlin suburb of) Wannsee conference in early 1942 wherein the decision was made and the protocols established for the extermination camps was held when the Nazi government gave up on alternative plans for mass expulsion. The decision to industrialize the murder of Jews and others (another six million, Poles, Gypsies, homosexuals and other Slavs) came with the recognition that the current methods (machine gunning, gas vans, etc) were inefficient given the number of intended victims.
The camps were so efficient that the Nazis has enough Zyklon-B on hand at the end of the war to have killed at least 20 million more.
Of course, it didn't hurt the Mufti's case that he had been recruiting Muslims for the German army and especially the Waffen-SS or that his mother was German (which explained his blue eyes).
