School Days

Justin Williams just wanted to surprise his daughter at her Woodbridge, Virginia, school for her eighth birthday. But soon after he arrived, as he was passing out cupcakes to her classmates, cops arrived and accused him of being a sex offender. After asking them to step into the hallway, Williams found they believed he was a sex offender from Washington state. It turns out that when visitors enter the school their names are checked against a database of sex offenders. That produced an alert because Williams has a similar name to an offender on the other side of the continent. The owner of the firm that operates the database blames the school saying it contains a photo of the offender and they should have seen it wasn't the same man.

Ha, do yourselves a favor and read the statements from the school, the county police and the state police. The county one is particularly embarrassing. The spokesman keeps reiterating points he apparently thinks might be making things worse for the department.
Well, in the cops defense "Justin Williams" is a pretty uncommon name
Too bad it doesn't come with the responsibility to use a cunt-hair of discretion in the performance of those "rights"
Detained until proven innocent. That sounds like freedom to me.

Damn it!
To be fair, Steve G is a pretty common name.
Well played
I was expecting this to end with him tasered or shot for distributing non-government-approved sugar-laden contraband.
Ya know...sadly, so was I. I honestly expected this story to end with Blue on non-Blue gunfire. WTF? Is it me?
