A Conyers, Georgia, police officer has been placed on paid leave while the department investigates the death of his K9 partner. Cpl. Jerahmy Williams left Zane, a tracking dog, in a hot patrol vehicle for seven hours.

I'm sure the K9 officer appreciated that at least it wasn't a lowly civilian responsible for its death.
He's lucky he didn't leave a child in an air-conditioned car for 30 seconds...
