Brickbat: Man's Best Friend

A Ramsey County, Minnesota, sheriff's deputy has been charged with animal cruelty and assaulting a public safety dog after being caught on video throwing his canine partner to the ground and later striking it. Brett Arthur Berry was at a Carlton County casino for training when he was asked by security to leave a casino lounge. He went to his room and left with the dog. A few minutes later, video captured him scolding and then attacking the dog.

What kind of a monster cop treats dogs the way he treats humans?
OT: apparently Snowden is like a socially isolated adult male who still lives with his parents or something kinda like that sort of...so it's the same.

BTW call me a naieve reptile but wow what's up with the commenters at the federalist? That was some vintage NEOCON derp I waded into.
I couldn't read anymore after he lumped Snowden in with Roof.
That was some high quality derp, well done. I must confess the attacks on Snowden piss me off though. Attacking his maturity, calling him a lost boy really? The man sacrificed a lot, not for personal gain, but to do what was right.
He has shown far more manhood and maturity then any of these pathetic writers that attack him, and I think one of the reason they attack him is because Snowden's brave actions remind these writers just how inadequate and pathetic they really are.
Go team Edward!!
Okay, Wolfking Awesomefox...
Snowden = Adam Lanza

Also the best was was them crusty Boomers claiming that the mellinials were the most idiotic and dangerous generation.
I pointed out the 1970s and then skittered off.
I could very easily take what he said and apply it to a large portion of the young males who join the military. Forgive me if I don't take Neocon psychobabble seriously.
It seemed odd that the writer was trying to show how crazy young males are by pointing out that they wanted to join the military and become heroes.
The dog should have shot him
Animal cruelty and not assault on an officer?
That was my first thought as well.
Ah, so he's a 'Blackadder' fan I see.

And nothing else happened.

I don't want to live in a world where a man can't beat his dog to feel better about himself without criminal charges!!!
But it wasn't his dog. It belonged to the department
I don't want to live in a world where a man can't beat SOMEONE ELSE'S dog to feel better about himself without criminal charges!!!
But it wasn't someone else's dog. It was a fellow officer of the law.
"After leaving the room with the suspectdog, the Officer became suspicious after noticing a strong marijuana smell coming from the dog. When asked for identification, the suspectdog didn't verbally respond to the Officers demand, acting strangely and rolling around on the hotel carpet, which made the Officer become more suspicious and fearful of his life. In the course of this interaction a scolding happened. The suspectdog flailed it's paws and resisted, and force happened. The Officer is currently being treated for job related traumastressdifficulties. The suspectdog is being held in a kennel, and is expected to be charged with marijuana possession, Failure to Produce ID, Failure to Obey a Peace Officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Police Union reps say dealing with suspectdogs is an unappreciated part of being a hero who needs to get home safe, and expects a meeting this week with the Mayor about negotiating an emergency raise for any hero who has to deal with fur."
*opera applause*
You forgot "totality of the circs."
Seriously, scum of the Earth to beat a dog that could probably take a chunk of flesh off this ass, but instead sits their in fear out of perverse loyalty to the piece of shit.
Police shouldn't be allowed to use dogs.
Police rageboner needs a victim. Unable to locate homeless to abuse. Rageboner not subsiding. Must. Beat. Dog.
It's a real time saver, though. Cops can bring their own dogs to their home invasions to shoot if the offender/home owner isn't thoughtful enough to provide a dog for target practice.
