the French economy minister says Uber shouldn't be banned, and "you have to be disruptive". Wonder how long he'll last in the job

A local judge on Friday decided not to ban UberPop, prompting cabdrivers in the capital to stage a go-slow strike on Monday in protest of the company, which is valued at $40 billion, or almost the same as General Motors.

I don't feel bad for Uber at all. If you have that much revenue you should be greasing the right palms already. Let the judges and bureaucrats wet their beaks, for crying out loud.

So... has this law also accidentally outlawed carpooling? Or are European cars too small to fit more than one adult in anyway?

Since it was 7-0, That would mean the entire council is made of excrement. There's plenty of spare blame to go around.
