Well dammit, don't leave us in suspense! Was it the homosexuals or the vampires that were offended?

    1. invisible furry hand   10 years ago

It was the gay vampires who complained

      1. Libertarian   10 years ago

        So.........all of them then?

      2. Rasilio   10 years ago

        The sparkly ones?

  2. ColonelEngineer   10 years ago

I feel there's a True Blood joke to be made but I can't put my finger on it...

Jessica in lingerie makes up for all the gay vampires and then some.

  3. Old Man With Candy   10 years ago

    All my friends were vampires
I didn't know they were vampires
Turns out I was a vampire myself
    in Devil Town.

    1. Old Man With Candy   10 years ago

      No homo.

  4. db   10 years ago

One thing about living in Cambridge I never could stomach...all the damn vampires.

I guess the Arctic Monkeys are lucky they're from Sheffield.

Good medicine for anyone that thinks places like Great Britain or Canada have anything APPROACHING the concept of "freedom of speech"...

OT: Shepherd Smith really doesn't like capitalism:
    http://hotair.com/archives/201.....ruin-cuba/

What a dick. Are we just about to ruin Cuba?

BECAUSE CASTRO HAS KEPT IT PRISTINE!!!!!!!
    This is Tony-level derp...
Where are we going to go to watch people riding around in 60-year-old Studebakers now?!?!?!

    1. Libertarian   10 years ago

It took Obama 6 years to take a tiny step in the right direction, and the jerks at National Review are giving him hell for it. Krauthammer, too.

    2. ColonelEngineer   10 years ago

The most beautiful irony of this is how much money classic car collecting Americans will drop for those Studebakers. Almost over night, they will lift the former owners out of poverty.

I'm a gear head, though, so that was the first thing I noticed.

      1. db   10 years ago

Right, presuming the Cuban government won't tax such sales at prohibitive rates, which progs will claim is only the natural right of dictators kings society as described in your personally signed copy of the social contract.

        1. ColonelEngineer   10 years ago

          *wipes a napkin*

Sorry... My optimism is showing again. You're absolutely right. The progs will do everything in their power to perpetuate the communist utopian myth.

        2. Catatafish   10 years ago

It will be under the rubric of a carbon tax. Those Studebakers have been dodging the EPA for five decades.

      2. R C Dean   10 years ago

I dunno that the Cubans are going to make bank on all those classic cars. The real money goes to cars in good condition, and I imagine most of those in Cuba are not, having been used constantly for decades.

    3. Libertarian   10 years ago

Shepard Smith. He lost absolutely all credibility in the wake of Katrina. Remember how the press -- eventually -- caught hell for just passing on crazy rumors, such as cannibalism, instead of actually doing investigative reporting? It was mere weeks afterward that Smith strolled down Bourbon street and was looking straight at the camera and saying that "some" bars there were offering $2000 hiring bonuses because business was good and there were no employees around after the storm. No evidence, just rumor reported as news.

    4. JeremyR   10 years ago

He kinda has a point though.

All these people are just waiting to swoop in and exploit Cuba. And no, dealing with a communist regime under strict rules is not capitalism. Capitalism would the people of Cuba owning the land and benefiting from the sale of it and/or items they produce.

It's hilarious - basically Cuba will end up going back to the way it was before the revolution. Only this time a Castro will be in charge, not a Bautista.

And at the same time, they have a law against blasphemy. So you can neither legally acknowledge nor criticize the fact that they have a God who has something against gays & lesbians.
