Ex-SEAL Robert O'Neill Says He Killed Osama bin Laden

"I killed him" - O'Neill, probably.

The Navy SEAL who fired the shot that killed Osama bin Laden is a highly decorated veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan who agonized for months over whether to publicly reveal his role in one of the most storied commando operations in U.S. history.

Robert O'Neill, 38, a Montana native, was near the head of the column of U.S. soldiers that burst into bin Laden's Pakistan hideout on May 2, 2011.

In a recent interview, O'Neill confirmed to The Washington Post that he fired the fatal shot that struck bin Laden in the forehead. He also acknowledged that shots were fired by at least two other SEAL team members, including Mark Bissonnette, who famously described the raid in the book, "No Easy Day."

  1. He also acknowledged that shots were fired by at least two other SEAL team members, including Mark Bissonnette, who famously described the raid in the book, “No Easy Day.”

I can only assume that, demonstrating the tactical awareness, sense of justice, and bravery of our local boys in blue; that they unloaded 80-150 rounds between the three of them.

Keep firing until the target is neutralized, right?

    1. Yea, because SEALs and cops are the same, right?

    2. Yeah, no. SEALS don’t panic fire. They aren’t given a gun and a badge and sent into the field after a few weeks of classroom training.

      1. Of course I think I realized you were cracking wise.

        Well played.

        1. Of course I think I realized you were cracking wise.

Sry, *150* rounds from three SEALs to kill one man buried the needle on my personal sarcasm meter.

Maybe I should’ve put a thin blue filter on it before taking a reading.

  2. No I killed Osama Bin Laden!

  3. I thought it was Obama who killed him.

    Work with me people.

  4. A true badass.

    1. Seriously?

Don’t get me wrong, the guy probably is a bad-ass. But not because he put a bullet in an old man.

      1. People don’t get to positions like this unless they are real bad-asses. Not like your local doughnut munchers who can barely squeeze into their MRAPs.

  5. 1, 2, 3 …. fatwa

  6. And once we put Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on trial and execute him, justice for 9/11 will be finally be complete.

And I would love to know why that hasn’t happened yet by the way. The average dopey American has probably forgotten he’s still alive (if they even know who he is), but some of us haven’t.

    1. About 99% certainty that we don’t actually have enough evidence to convict the dude ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’.

And most of the evidence we do have will not be made available due to ‘national security’.

  7. my friend’s sister-in-law makes $82 /hr on the laptop . She has been out of work for 5 months but last month her paycheck was $15787 just working on the laptop for a few hours. hop over to this website….
