Former Cold Stone CEO Poised to Win Arizona Gubernatorial Election
Republican state Treasurer and businessman Doug Ducey has won the race for Arizona governor, defeating Democrat Fred DuVal, according to the Associated Press.
During the campaign Ducey, the Republican businessman who campaigned on a promise to kick-start the economy as he did Cold Stone Creamery, rarely deviated from a message of "opportunity for all," even as the state's economy continued to struggle and economists forecast state budget deficits. He vowed to cut taxes, grow the economy and overhaul education funding.
