Parents of some students at St. Mary's Church of England Primary School in Kidderminster are upset their children were excluded from a taxpayer-funded field trip to a petting zoo because they speak English. The parents say school officials told them the trip was designed to help students who don't speak English learn the language.

There are so many witty comments. I also think that animals don't care which language the visitor speak, moreover I am sure that not-speakers will spend more time with native-speakers, it will only give the benefits and additional motivation to develop the language skills. I remember my first steps when I tried to get every university essay online and though about every word. But a live communication is the best teacher. So, probably it is not the real reason. At the same time, I agree that parents can spend a weekend with their kids, going to the nearest zoo.
