Google's been having this problem long before the "right to be forgotten" was invented
You know who else had past unflattering relations with the Japanese?
Lieutenant Pinkerton?
Brava.
Nan King Cole?
*narrows gaze*
Shaddam IV?
The Ainu?

Admiral Halsey?

Obama, no longer big in Japan.
When this happens, what do they do, program in an exception for this guy? It'd be interesting to see that section of exception code.
How about any inquiries with this guy's name come back with "In accordance with a court order, all information concerning this person's criminal past and associations is being withheld." I'd sure be willing to hire him, loan him money or date him (if I were gay) with a response like that.
So what happens when some woman Googles him, sees no negative information and goes out with him. It turns out his past includes charges that he dates women, abducts them, keeps them as sex and torture slaves before releasing them with death threats if they say anything. The battered and raped woman then sues Google for withholding the information.
Isn't government intervention SWELL!!
I don't really understand how courts, or anyone, can justifiably demand that a search engine be held responsible for all of the internet's content.
Because it's a series of pipes
