D.C. Students Assigned to Compare Bush and Hitler
Teacher "deeply regrets this mistake"
One D.C. middle school homework assignment goes a little something like this: Compare and contrast former President George W. Bush with Adolf Hitler.
On Tuesday, as McKinley Middle School students worked on a unit about war and peace, a teacher handed out a worksheet she created that said just that. The Northeast Washington students were told to turn the worksheet in Wednesday after finishing up readings about Hitler and Bush.
"The teacher deeply regrets this mistake, and any suggestion to malign the presidency or make any comparison in this egregious way," Melissa Salmanowitz, spokeswoman for D.C. schools, said in a statement.

Umm, yeah, looking at the actual picture of the Homework assignment, this was clearly no inadvertent mistake.
How about McKinley Middle School students compare and contrast Obama with Idi Amin Dada?
Or perhaps Robert Mugabe?
Or how about comparing ex-Prez Clinton with the sex-and-power crazed Emperor Caligula?
Bush and Hitler both breathed in oxygen and expelled carbon dioxide? Planet-warming bastards that they were? And also converted food to nitrate-containing turds. Services, I might add, that the heterotrophs (plants) in the biosphere are quite grateful for. But I digress? Doing the same things, as they were, they are one and the same, peas in a pod. But then again I guess I peed in the same pod as they peed in, so I am just like them also! PLEASE don't tell ANYONE!!!
Ooops, forgive my boo-boo, I meant autotrophs (platns); got that one wrong?
So yes, I am just like Hitler, as we can see, that would be fair?
But please do NOT use my small typo here to accuse me of hetotrophical bias! That's just not fair! I kill and eat heterotrophs and autotrophs with equal abandon, so I am NOT biased or prejudiced in these matters!!!

Well, if it's from the same curriculum students are getting in California, the correct answer is, "they both didn't kill lots of Jews".
Wait, did Bush get any money from George Soros?
They're not the same guy?
Well yes, but you need to show your work!

It's progress that they allow for some contrasting. Likely they meant to say " in which ways was Bush more evil than Hitler?"
I'm surprised students in DC public schools even know who Hitler was...or Bush for that matter...nome sayun?
And, to think, every time I make a comment to a prog friend about how bad public education is all I get in response is "You're just spouting your baseless opinions! Do some research and stop embarrassing yourself!". Research complete.
