Brickbat: Out of the Closet

Some students enrolled at the University of Central Florida this fall have found just a tiny problem with their housing assignments. They have been assigned to live in bathrooms and closets. A university spokesman blames a computer glitch. She says the problem has been fixed and students will have actual rooms waiting on them when they arrive on campus.

I am...underwhelmed.
I'd post this on AM Links but I won't have access to a computer I can post from then.

"Obama slammed Republicans for what he termed a thread of "anti-globalization" that has stalled reauthorization of funding for the Export-Import Bank, which he said would hurt U.S. businesses trying to finance overseas trade. But in the interview, Obama chided business for a lack of social responsibility, citing a "general view" that "the only responsibility that a corporate CEO has is to his shareholders."
"I did not run for office to help out a bunch of fat cat bankers". Yet somehow the fat cat bankers are precisely the ones he has helped out most. "I'm gonna pump you guys up with liquidity so you better squirt some of it on the face of the those doing the sucking. It's what's right."
a "general view" that "the only responsibility that a corporate CEO has is to his shareholders."
And that view is correct. You can tell the Community Organizer has no idea what these strange, private sector things are all about. Quite alien to him.
People we entrust with our capital investments should use such capital in ways we did not intend. It's economic patriotism.
"A university spokesman blames a computer glitch."
Her name is Betsy and she has been computer illiterate for the last 15 years.
I thought her name was Lois Lerner.
This.
"Computer glitch" is YA expression that should go away, unless used in the sentence "The so-called 'computer glitch' was entirely my fault" or "I take full responsibility for the so-called 'computer glitch'."
(I have seen *one* instance of a *probable* hardware "glitch" causing an unexpected computing result.)
The linked article says "programming glitch".

What the article DIDN'T tell you was the choke hold the cops put on this little guy and the fact that they tased him in the nuts. Apparently Clark "resisted" arrest.
I don't think cops know enough about tortoise anatomy to find its internal gonads.
Well, they certainly are well-versed on internal gonads.
The tortoise "resisted" by retreating inside its shell.
And people are going to trust self driving cars?
For this type of behaviour from a system like this 'computer glitch' typically translates as "Some dipshit human asked for all rooms instead of all dormitory rooms in their query".
Or, equally, the software was created quickly and cheaply by someone who's never set foot on the campus, maybe not even the continent. They asked a human for a list of all the rooms in the dorm and got a list of all the rooms.
For this type of behaviour
When did you stop being American? 😉
I went to Public schools, so I taught myself how to spell.

"Not one of *us*!"
Kevin McCarthy was better.
Do you only use elevators that still have human operators for fear of computer controlled ones?
Thats what I am talking about dude. Wow.
