Nearly half of immigrants facing deportations win their case

Nearly half of immigrants facing deportation are now winning their cases before an immigration judge, their highest success rate in more than 20 years, according to a new analysis of court data published Thursday.

The U.S. government has been losing more deportation cases each year since 2009, according to the Transaction Records Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, which collects and studies federal prosecution records.

Win-win for the President. He gets to say he has detained and tried to deport more immigrants than anyone in history but it's those darn judges, who aren't politically motivated at all, that keep letting them off the hook. Look at the states where they are winning most of the cases, it's laughable.

It seems you forget it was the "open borders" policy of the Roman Republic that was part of what got it destroyed. The same one the USA is modeled on (and following a very similar path of warfare, decadence, and more free bread for the masses, i.e. socialism, towards the decline).

"Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is the one thing both sides agree on, and that should be a WARNING SIGN, to those of us who are opposed to the two-party dictatorship. Most of the GOP leadership is only delaying accepting immigration reform because they want credit for it (to get the votes) and have said as much publicly.

Welcoming in 15 million lawbreakers who are mostly poor welfare leeches and socialist in ideology is idiocy. The final nail in the coffin of the Republic.

If there was NO welfare state and a very low minimum wage (whereby we citizens could benefit off their labor) then perhaps allowing in as many as want to come is a good policy.

But NO Republic has EVER cut welfare benefits except when forced to by the people loaning it more money (i.e. Greece's bankruptcy).

It would take China threatening to sell America's bonds before the US would even consider it (and it might lash out with war instead).
