Two British Women Charged with Sending Money to Fund Jihadist in Syria
More than $25,000
Two women have appeared in U.K. court accused of trying to send 20,000 euros ($27,350) to a suspected British jihadi fighting in Syria.
Nawal Masaad, 26, was arrested at London's Heathrow Airport on Jan. 16 as she was preparing to board a flight to Turkey. At the time, officers said they had seized a large quantity of cash.
Her friend, Amal El-Wahabi, 27, was arrested later that day at her home.
