Sprint Cancels Early Update Program After Just Four Months
Now trying to get you to link your account to friends instead
Sprint's One Up early upgrade plan is no more. With the announcement of the plan last September, Sprint joined T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon in offering a way for customers to upgrade their handset mid-contract. Sprint was the last major carrier to offer an early upgrade plan, and it looks as though it's the first to axe its plan as well. Customers looking to discover more about One Up are now being informed that it was retired January 9th, and invited to check out the carrier's new "Framily" plan, which encourages users to link their accounts with friends' to save money.
