Somali Soldier Kills Unarmed Civilian in Mogadishu
While militants suspected of killing a cleaning woman
Gunmen and the Somali Federal Government soldier separately killed two civilians as heavy fighting occurred in Mogadishu's Yaqshid district late on Saturday night, Garowe Online reports.
Unidentified assailants shot a female cleaner working for Somalia University of Mogadishu in head and chest at Kaasabal-Balaare junction on Sunday according to witnesses.
"I expect that Al Shabaab behind the assassination. It is quite complex to know why a woman free from politics was killed and this shows that such groups don't want progress for our people," said a spokesman for Hodan district commissioner.
In a separate incident, Somalia Federal Government soldier killed unarmed civilian in Gubta neighborhood of Mogadishu's Dayniile district.
