New Haven, Connecticut, police have charged Angelo Appi, Jr. with breach of the peace for criticizing security at his daughter's school. Appi apparently doesn't believe that officials are taking his concerns seriously and posted on Facebook "Maybe I have to walk in with a toy gun just to prove a point." Police say the remark alarmed many parents.

Breach of the peace? When did peace revolve around Facebook?

  2. anon   12 years ago

I got news Douchebags of CT: If you're alarmed about a toy gun, you've got issues.

    1. H. ReardEn   12 years ago

Read the article. It's douche-bags all to way down. If this complaining douche-bag parent gets his way, he'll be mowed down by a hail of gunfire for his little stunt of possessing a toy gun.

      1. anon   12 years ago

I don't disagree; most people in CT are douchebags.

  3. Fist of Etiquette   12 years ago

This is the kind of thing that a school with parents on its ass about security would have to report to police. Dipshit.

    1. anon   12 years ago

      Sarcasm?

"Maybe I have to walk in with a toy gun just to prove a point."

      1. Fist of Etiquette   12 years ago

Not at all. He's riding the school about security, so they're not going to give even the stupidest of non-threats a pass, either to show him they're serious about protecting his kid or to retaliate against him with his own style of overreaction. Either way, this move was inevitable.

  4. Doctor Whom   12 years ago

Next time, he should walk into the school brandishing a copy of the First Amendment.

    1. PM   12 years ago

Peddling filth to our children? The sex offender registry was made for sickos like that.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   12 years ago

They wouldn't understand what they were looking out, anyway. It's written in cursive.

        1. Certified Public Asskicker   12 years ago

Cursive, hieroglyphics, Chinese, should all be taught in schools!

          1. RBS   12 years ago

Plus the invisible ink on the back.

        2. Snark Plissken   12 years ago

OMG, is there an SMS version of the BoR?

              LOL

            2. Rich   12 years ago

              OMG Bmpr stkr

          2. Doctor Whom   12 years ago

Maybe it should be exported to .JPG, with pictures of cats, and posted to Facebook.

        3. Doctor Whom   12 years ago

          It's written in cursive.

Oh, that's right. Also, it's confusing and was written 100 years ago in Anglo-Saxon.

        4. PM   12 years ago

          WTF IS A CONGREFF?!

          1. Fist of Etiquette   12 years ago

            Exactly.

    2. Steve G   12 years ago

That would be a great "Gran Torino" moment. Get into a standoff w/ cops and quickly reach into your backpocket for... BAM! BAM! BAM! ...your copy of the constitution.

  5. Rich   12 years ago

Principal Matthew Espinosa told police Appi's post prompted a flood of calls to his office from concerned parents.

Right. I'll bet phone records show two people were doing the "flooding".

    *** disguises voice ***

OTOH, Appi was known to have been *shooting* videos.

  6. Eduard van Haalen   12 years ago

He fmade, and I think posted, videos purporting to show lax school security. Hes part of the omg remember sandy hook crowd. Which is legal for him to be under the 1st amendment. It looks as if the so called threat was that hed do a third video making school security look bad. That seems to be his real crime.

    1. Snark Plissken   12 years ago

"That was his real crime: he had tried to live the American way of life, instead of just talking about it."

  7. Entropy Void   12 years ago

Effing pearl-clutching Yankees, they deserve each other.

    1. Live Free or Diet   12 years ago

"Pearl-clutching." Had to look that one up. Love it!

    2. Zeb   12 years ago

It's always a good time for a little regional bigotry.

  8. The Late P Brooks   12 years ago

If this useless fucking bedwetter thinks school security is too lax, he should just lock his precious flower in a closet in the basement until she's old enough to buy her own health insurance.
