Greg Sims, a science teacher at Florida's Lake Brantley High School, has been suspended for five days for taping a student's hands together and trying to tape her mouth shut. Sims was reportedly trying to keep her from disrupting his class.

  I had to look up what vocal fry meant. Had never heard of it before. I'm not sure what it would sound like, but sounds like it would be annoying.

I had teachers tape my mouth shut a few times. No one gave a shit afterwards.

Kids today need to toughen and just accept that classroom discipline sometimes requires them to be gagged and restrained. What if this girl had made an origami gun? Or uttered one of the Banned Words?

Lulz. Yeah, Almanian got his mouth taped shut for talking with friends - mostly in 3rd and 4th grade.

Jon Bohacz used to get taped TO his desk for getting up and walkinig around.

Masking tape - it was mostly for show, but it eventually got the point across. Thanks for the lessons, Mrs. Fandell and Mrs. Mavis!
