Obama Speaks on Syria, Wants Vote in Congress
Wants Congress to vote for intervention in Syria, says he has the authority to act without it
President Barack Obama has decided to use force against Syria, but he will first seek congressional approval, he said in a Rose Garden speech Saturday afternoon.
"I will seek authorization for the use of force from the American people's representatives in Congress," Obama said.
Obama said he has decided using force against Syria is necessary and does not require cooperation from other nations.

You go get 'em, cowboy!
So basically, knowing Congress will veto military action, Obama is trying to come off like he wants to help, but the mean ol' congress shot him down. What a good guy, right? Gee shucks.
Would you rather he blow off the constitution and just charge right on in?
He's doing things the proscribed way and going through the correct channels. It's better than the alternative.
"but he will first seek congressional approval". I'll ask permission first, then I'll still do whatever I want?
Well, only if congress doesn't want the same thing he does.
