An electoral review board has barred Nina Siahkali Moradi from taking a seat on the city council in Qazvin, Iran. Officials say Moradi, a 27-year-old graduate student in architecture, is too attractive. "We don't want a catwalk model on the council," said a senior official.

I dunno, by Persian standards she's only average. Not bad, but not Sarah Shahi either.

I dunno, by Persian standards she's only average.

I see no reason to complain....!

No one wants city council meetings marred by unfortunate boners.

    1. db   12 years ago

I challenge your notion of such a thing. The boner is an expression of life, of love--of stalwart and unbending nature. Your attempts to suppress the natural wonder of the boner will wither. #standtallboners

If she's what passes for a "catwalk" model in Iran, then I think I have another reason to never visit Iran. I mean, in America she would be "Internet Ad" pretty, not "catwalk" pretty.

    1. Almanian!   12 years ago

I don't need ANY "more reasons" to not visit Iran.

Hot chicks are in the reasons "to" visit. "Internet pretty" - close enough. #horndog

  5. tarran   12 years ago

If they're going to ban hot Persian women, the Iranian authorities have effectively revoked the ability of 25% of their population from holding office.

Naturally, I am happy to comfort these people. 😉

You are a true humanitarian, tarran.

  6. Almanian!   12 years ago

This is why there are no....wait...no....

    Never mind.

    Because (I want to)FYTW.

The comments here are proof enough of the sexist patriarchal comments I would expect from libertarians. Now go back to your rooms and say five Hail Rands.

    1. Lord Humungus   12 years ago

      (too many comments)

  9. Dibbler   12 years ago

    I'd sniff her council seat.

In college there was an Iranian chick in some of my classes. She was way hotter than that lady, and still only a 7/10.

  11. Rufus J. Firefly   12 years ago

A former employee of mine was Iranian. She was extremely pretty. As for my decadent inner-fantasies, we'll leave that alone.

What's the first sound you hear at an Iranian cabinet meeting when she walks in?

    Boing!

    1. Jgalt1975   12 years ago

      Is "boing" Farsi for "schwing"?

      1. Rufus J. Firefly   12 years ago

I believe it's the universal erection first recorded by Emory Cook.

  12. Spencer   12 years ago

I wonder, then, if they would also bar someone for being too ugly. I can see that as almost more of a distraction. "I can't concentrate on policy with THAT thing looking at me!"

    1. Rufus J. Firefly   12 years ago

      Mole!

  13. OldMexican   12 years ago

Maybe for the standards of Qazvin, Iran, the girl inspires too many wild fantasies, but here in cosmopolitan Houston, she would only be average pretty. There's plenty of Persian, Arab and Egyptian women living in Houston who are prettier than her.
