New Iranian President Takes Office, Vows to Get Sanctions Lifted

Hassan Rouhani, Iran's new president, vowed to reward voters support for his message of moderation yesterday by securing the removal of international sanctions imposed on his country over its controversial nuclear drive.
Mr Rouhani formally took over as Iran's president in a meeting with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Islamic republic's Supreme Leader, and in a speech promised to see the end of "oppressive" sanction.

But not the end of say, stoning gays to death, gangraping women as judicial puinishment and throwing psychotic temper tantrums and threatening to murder every other living being on the planet because you don't get your way.
