Syrian rebels executed a 14-year-old boy for blasphemy.
And then off to a photo shoot with John McCain.
There's no such thing as bad publicity.
He's fastracking their assylum petition.
Syrian rebels executed a 14-year-old boy for blasphemy. We may be arming them soon.
But all he said was that his mom's dinner was good for Allah.
Why may we be arming 14 YOs soon?
An internal memo suggests that the State Department may be covering up serious misconduct, including sexual assault, within its ranks.
Something on YouTube made them do it!
Good one, Fisty.
State Dept employees just found out about rick-rolling.

As has been said of the former E Germany, its prime export was bogus statistics.
You know who else said economic troubles were over?

What difference, at this point, does it make?!

Sorry Hillary, it looks like you are going to take the fall for another powerful man in your life.
Mark my words (and I've been saying it for a while), there is no fucking way she is the next president.
SEXIST!
I hope you're right. But I'm sure Team Red will come up with some way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
The next president won't be a corrupt, fat, cranky, old broad?
No way.
Although, she does have Obama to thank for the phrase "may be covering up serious misconduct, including sexual assault, within its ranks." not carrying as much zing as it would have before the last few scandalicious weeks.
She is inexorably associated with this administration now. Unless she comes out and disavows them while providing further evidence against them, she's done. And we know she's not going to do that, she is part and parcel of the DNC structure and they would roast her for doing so. She's screwed.
Yeah. And the media is going to be looking for someone to pin the Obama disaster on. The story will be "Obama was dreamy but he was let down by the people around him".
I blame Bush
Meh...a Clinton presiding over yet another sex scandal. What year is it again?
For the record...I want my credibility back. Ted stole it earlier today. It long and soft and smells like strawberries. Please return it asap.
Thanks,

It was just that one issue though, so you're good.

Only a 0.3% error rate? EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT AT ITS BEST.
They don't bring FISA garbage.
Don't get too excited, hamilton.
Perhaps among the cases turned down was that of the Tsarnaev brothers.
I listened to some Booz Allen Hamilton exec call for extradition and prosecution of Snowden on NPR earlier. He was everything you could imagine him to be, an authority-loving statist of the highest order. As he put it, FISA will modify requests for information quite often as opposed to denying it. Therefore we should all feel safe. My answer to that is "WHY AND HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW WHAT A SUPER SECRET COURT DOES WITH THESE REQUESTS? YOU'RE JUST A DAMN CONTRACTOR LOOKING TO MAKE A BUCK." How does he have access to FISA documents? What happened to super-secret and need-to-know? Obviously the military/security industry is in so deep with their masters that there is no distinction between the two.
I listened to some Booz Allen Hamilton exec call for extradition and prosecution of Snowden on NPR earlier.
Eh, the guy is a businessman whose professional reputation will be seriously harmed by this. I'd expect him to be nothing less than aggressively hawkish in bringing Snowden to "justice."
Doesn't make him any less of a prick, just one with very clear motivations.
He's talking his book. The partners at BAH see easy money evaporating.

Some of these people are designing shit that is just as objectionable as the Hound in Farenheit 451. Edward Snowden has checked out of the Hong Kong hotel where he had taken refuge and is nowhere to be found, at least for now.
That secret Benghazi CIA detention center just got a new occupant.
Totally. The words "Edward Snowden" and "nowhere to be found" were on the short timer for being associated in any event, sadly.
I don't think they would be quite brazen enough to kill him. If they did and he really disappears, we should all be very afraid.
Nah, they'd only be brazen enough to kill his friend.
He had a knife, no he didn't. We shot him once, no six times. That is the most fucked up thing I have ever seen.
You know who else disappeared Enemies of the People?
Miniluv?
Lenin, Stalin, and FDR?
Evil Kirk and the Tantalus Field?
...and his hawt concubine?
The Aztec Tomb?
"The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that we're supposed to trust to oversee secret snooping operations has turned down a whopping .03 percent of surveillance requests."
More than that got misplaced in transit.
Our Top Men who request surveillance must be really good at guessing who the bad guys are. They almost always have enough evidence to convjnce their oversight they are correct in their requests.
Yeah that's really gotta be the cushiest job on the planet, sit there and play minecraft (or surf porn) on your cell phone all day then when someone comes in and asks if you've completed that review yet just say "Yep, all done and it's approved"
Who's speaking for the defense? If there's no defense, it's not a court, it's an echo chamber.

I don't see how he is going to get a fair trial.
Easy.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that we're supposed to trust to oversee secret snooping operations has turned down a whopping .03 percent of surveillance requests.
Maybe the Men in Black are just so careful to only bring the most well justified and necessary (to catch the terrorists) requests to the Court?
Hmmm? Did you think of that? You talking bad about the Top Men on the internets? Hmmm?
Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?

Haven't seen Sloopy in a while, so here, have a nutpunch on me: Grandma of girl killed during Detroit police raid testifies: 'Y'all done killed my grandbaby'
.
A Detroit grandmother testified Monday that she could only watch in terror as masked police officers with guns drawn stormed her home in a hunt for a murder suspect that led to the fatal shooting of her 7-year-old granddaughter.
Officer Joseph Weekley is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the May 2010 death of Aiyana Stanley-Jones, who was asleep on a couch when police raided the house.
Aiyana's grandmother, 50-year-old Mertilla Jones, said after a flash-bang grenade exploded through a window she rolled onto the floor and was lying on her stomach facing the door when Detroit special response team members forced their way inside.
"As soon as they came in, their guns were just pointing right there, and he pulled the trigger," Mertilla Jones said of Weekley. "I seen the light leave out of her eyes and the blood started gushing out her mouth and she was dead."
May justice be served.
The only justice would be to see the pigs' life snuffed from him.
holy christ
i have no further comment
Officer Joseph Weekley is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the May 2010 death of Aiyana Stanley-Jones, who was asleep on a couch when police raided the house.
Even if he is convicted, justice will not be served. Involuntary manslaughter for fucking up and killing someone?
If he does a year, I will be surprised.
Me too. 7,500 seems a little light though, for a life?
that is less than we pay Afghans for the kids we run over with our trucks.
How in the fuck is that "involuntary manslaughter"?? At the very LEAST, that's negligent homicide and that's being extraordinarily generous.
Certainly it's involuntary. The officer didn't negligently shoot the girl so much as the gun fired all by itself while he had it pointed at her. All of the passive voice reporting I've read said so.
In many (most?) states, involuntary manslaughter is negligent homicide.
ahh, still, this fucker should be going to prison for the rest of his life. Sadly, he'll probably, at worst, lose his job and be reprimanded very strongly by the judge.
You want a nutpunch? Read the comments to the Detroit News version of the story. I had to stop after a few for fear that I'd punch a hole through my monitor.

Jesus Christ.
Karma has a way of dealing with people like her, and it looks like it did.
How could one be more of an asshole than this?
(well, aside from blowing up 20 kids and then giving a speech about the horrors of a school shooting).
The six year old had it coming. I mean wow people are gross.
Gosh, I can't imagine why Detroit is considered a whithering cesspool.
I had to stop after the second one was something to the effect of "She was hiding a killer in her house with 4 children. She got what she deserved"
RAGE!
That bitch 7 year old should have known better than to live in a house with these dangerous miscreants. Whatever. Probably would have grown up to be a crack addicted baby mama anyway. /Literally what those people are arguing.
Even better is the fact that the home was a duplex and the person the cops were looking for was in the other unit, so not only are these folks assholes they don't even have the facts straight.

The Vice guys cover some interesting stuff. Their HBO show has been consistently interesting and remarkably liberal-talking-point-free so far (with the exception of their climate change episode). And Shane Smith says some non-retarded things sometimes.
And the time he ended an episode on India by blaming capitalism for making Indians poor. We all know what a capitalist libertopia India has always been.
Aw, fuck, that is extra crispy fried stupid. I didn't see that one.
My favorite was the Senegalese wrestlers.
Haven't really paid them any attention. I got this link from somewhere else and had to reread it after pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
I've only watched a few episodes of their HBO show, but I really liked the Vice Guide to Travel. I found their episode on the Hajj to be really interesting:
http://www.vice.com/the-vice-g.....ca-diaries
Just don't watch their episode on global warming that will kill us all very soon.
The guides to North Korea and Liberia were two of the best things I've ever seen. Smith is a genius. Still, I have a hard time buying the Forbes valuation of a billion dollars. Amazing, but hard to believe.
Vice is one of the best things on the web though. If you want to find out that yes, you can actually still be offended, then Vice is the place for you.
Cops in the Peoples' Republic of Boulder seem to have a policy of entering peoples' homes if they leave the door open:

Too bad the people of Boulder don't seem to have a policy of shooting people who illegally enter their houses...
Zwanze Day has been announced for this year: Saturday, Sept 14th.
For those in the Louisville area, Im sure Holy Grale will be a hosting site again, its apparently expanding to 40 bars worldwide this year.
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that we're supposed to trust to oversee secret snooping operations has turned down a whopping .03 percent of surveillance requests.
With the judicial reasoning being kept secret, I guess I'll never know with absolute certainty if I should be angry about how many they authorize or how many they rejected.
Daily squee!
Was nicole eaten by a grue? I would expect her to weigh in on something like this by now.

Miss Teschmacher, she's got her own place.
Baby names reveal parents' political ideology
Wonder what they would say about a couple naming their kid "Reason"?
parents in liberal neighborhoods are more likely to choose softer, more feminine sounds, such as "L," for their babies' names, while conservative parents go for macho-sounding K's, B's and D's.
So "Barack" would be a pretty conservative name, then?
'For a baby called Reason...'
Are you saying the parents of Sunshine, Essence, Summer, and Patchouli might all be similar?
When I was very young I had a friend named "Season." I wonder now if her parents were so wishy-washy they couldn't decide which one was best? (No offense, it's a pretty name)
like salt? or pepper?
Probably something like "Intercept their communications and go over their tax returns."
Uhh...
Call CPS?
and speaking of which, regarding the comment earlier, can we get a J sub D Check-In from Sloop?
Banjos was on here a few days ago. If something was up I'm sure she'd have mentioned it.
kewl
haven't heard from the good doctor in a while either but he said he would be absent...hot GF and all.
Unless she killed him and didn't want us to be suspicious...
Hmm, I hadn't considered that. Maybe he suggested the name of the next kid should be "Magazine" and she just had him put down?
If it's a boy, we definitely will be naming him Lysander. We haven't settled on a girl's name yet.
Unless she killed him and didn't want us to be suspicious...
She was posting nonstop Black Eyed Peas lyrics. Who does that but some kind of deranged psycho?
Meh. He probably had it coming.
Sloop started working a new jerb about a month ago. His dick around online time has been cut dramatically. I have been considering picking up the slack for him, but it would cut into my lay around at my country club's pool all day time.
This is exactly the excuse I'd expect from someone who murdered Sloopy.
Admit your crime, Banjos! ADMIT YOUR HEINOUS CRIME!
Why would I murder my money making/sperm providing machine?
No one understands why women to the crazy things they do. I hear that it's all caused by hormones and an internal monologue screaming "who wants cake".
What are you doing online Epi, isn't this the time of day you let Sug lick chocolate off your chest to stop his blood sugar from dropping?
He passed out early today, so I just gave him a gorilla mask and then went here. I hope he doesn't wake up before the glue sets.
Hormones?
Women do a lot of irrational things, like choosing of their own free will to carry a human inside of them for 9 months and then push it out while surrounded by a bunch of dudes in rubber clothes.
No rational human being would go through this.
You wouldn't endure some suffering to produce this?
Awww.
I mean, hrmph. Stupid gf's pregnancy hormones must be hanging around this computer.
Now that is cuteness.
In any case, the notion that Banjos would try to hide Sloopy's murder from HampersandR is ridiculous. My presumption is that here is where she'd come for ideas and / or alibis.
Any "study" that assumes a liberal/conservative dichotomy is not worth reading.
Federal government poised to raise nuclear liability cap

It's better for him to die than to possibly suffer any side effects of this unapproved drug.
Which is totally, not in any way, a death panel. Because that Alaskan hick is a total crazypants.
with libs, it always seems like it is more moral to let the chosen ones make the decisions, even if you die waiting or as a result. It is far better for that than for you to choose for yourself.
That's because the chosen ones have all the data they need to make excellent choices for you. It's rather circular and self-fulfilling.
Edward Snowden has checked out of the Hong Kong hotel where he had taken refuge and is nowhere to be found
Which GoT character is he?
Don't they all die anyway? It doesn't really matter much past that.
The dead one.
So... Arya Stark?
Arya just added tarran to her list.
He should join the Night's Watch.
Wait until he returns to the western hemisphere with his dragons.
With a name like Snowden, he's coming in riding on a dire wolf with an army of white walkers behind him.
Or he'll be betrayed by one of his bannermen and they'll sew his wolf's head to his body and present it to King Barack.
So that's what that was last night. I was so stoned I couldn't see straight. Watching GoT incredibly baked is sort of a waste of time.
Yeah, I knew about the Red Wedding but missed that little detail. Poor Arya, at least she killed some Freys.
I've been re-reading the series and I just finished book 2, and I find myself amazed at how much of the story they moved around timeline-wise or just changed. Like, so much that it must have been vastly more work than just following the books more would have been. But I guess it's worth it, because the show is massively popular.
Having recently finished book 3, I was ridiculously confused when I saw Theon show up in season 3. I didn't understand how that could have happened since he clearly died at the end of book 2.
As you saw, Theon did die, in a manner of speaking.
Consider yourself spoiled!
That just means he's kind of a bastard.
Just like YOU.
I think it means he's a bastard's son, but not actually a bastard himself. Just like you, except his dad instead of your mom.
If the CIA gets their hands on him then he's Theon Greyjoy
I would venture to say they are worse than Ramsay. & Ramsay's pretty awful.
Blah, they spread out the SCF schedule too much. I want hockey damn it! Even if I don't manage to go to a game.
I would love to go to one this time around. I bet the ticket prices are going to be monstrous. Hoping to win the raffle the B's set up.
Looks like face will be like $300 ish. I'm going to try and get some, though I haven't checked to see if anyone else is willing to come for that price. I'll get in touch with you if I end up with an extra ticket.
And dear god the Pats just signed Tebow. Fuck this.
Oh jesus christ. I just saw that myself. Wonderful.
eh as long as they signed him to a league minimum contract I don't see the problem.
He's obviously not a candidate to replace Brady and realistically at this point wouldn't even be the backup. This means they can take him and see if he can be useful in some other role as a slash player or possibly even Tight End and if not cut him before training camp is over
If he can't play his position, why would he be able to play other positions?
You are assuming they signed him to be a QB.
That said he's 6'5" and like 260lbs of solid muscle, the dude has the body to play outside linebacker and while not fast enough to be a true wide reciever his speed is at least average for a RB so he has at least the bare minimum athletic skills to play any number of positions, just not QB.
As long as he has reasonably good hands there is absolutely no reason why he couldn't be a moderately successful halfback who occasionally takes a direct snap on a trick play but usually is a blocker or catches passes out of the backfield. If he has stone hands, well then it is a failed experiment and you cut him before the season starts.
No I'm not assuming that. He has shown no ability to play other positions, so it's a mistake for those too.
They signed him to be a QB.They dropped their 3rd QB for him.
Texas high school salutorian comes out of the closet in front of entire school during graduation speech.
Good for him.
My response to these type of public confessions has generally been "And why do I really care what you do with your penis?" I'm just indifferent to homosexuality in general. If that's what you want, good for you, but I don't understand why sexual preference has become so character defining. It's not an accomplishment, it's not even an aspiration, it's just a preference.
Er how old are you Scruffy? Before people publicly came out it was much easier to pass off dreck like this because nobody "knew" any homosexuals.
Your indifference is welcomed, the more indifference the better, but people come out because we're less than 10 years out from the Federal Marriage Amendment being an important platform that helped GWB get elected the second time.
Bonus: Funnier take on the first video
I appreciate the difficulty that homosexuals have endured. However, I lament the importance that both sides have ascribed to the debate. Much like I don't care if you're black, white, hispanic, asian, etc..., tell me about your ideas instead.
tell me about your ideas instead
That's only recently been an option, and the only reason it is an option is because gay people have come out of the closet. Alan Turing didn't have that luxury, nor did Frank Kameny (who was fired for being gay and helped found the pre-radical gay rights movement). You can't disentangle "the difficulty that homosexuals have endured" from our level of visibility in society.
"Alan Turing didn't have that luxury, nor did Frank Kameny"
I find nothing convincing about you using 50+ year old examples to prove a point all you've done is insist upon.
"That's only recently been an option"
Bullshit.
Ok sgs, please tell the class why our society treats gays differently today than it did 50 years ago.
The act of coming out (and people being forced out by the AIDS crisis) made a big difference in how Americans view gays and lesbians. The whole concept of "coming out" is becoming tiresome, but that's only because it's been largely successful. It'll stick around longer than it needs to, and then it'll fade away.
Jesse got sent to a gay reeducation therapist at some point in the last 15 years. That's relatively recently. Are you seriously arguing that gay people weren't mistreated in America? They were getting arrested and having gay bars shut down by cops as recently as the seventies.
And as recently as four years ago.
At least people might remember this salutatorian speech more than 5 minutes after it was over.
But really, once being gay has been normalized, then this is the expected result. If someone stands up in front of a crowd of people and says "Hey, I'm attracted to people of the opposite sex", then people should shrug and be mildly annoyed at the attention whoring.
Because human relationships are about more than just sex.
Homosexuality isn't.
He wasn't coming out to you, Scruffy. Like it or not, there are people who do care what other people do with their penii, so this is worthy of attention.
"Like it or not, there are people who do care what other people do with their penii, so this is worthy of attention."
What the fuck kind of stupid ass attempt at a justification is that?
The counter example is a straight kid talking about chasing tail, which is inappropriate for such an event.
That he's gay changes nothing, at least that's what I keep getting told by gays.
Except of course, when they want special treatment like you're advocating for.
Frankly, I would be happy to hear any valedictorian/salutorian say something other than the predictable "We're special/We're going to change the world" garbage that 99.9% of graduation speeches entail. And I'm not arguing for special treatment for anyone. He was invited to make a speech because of his "achievement" (sucking up to teachers for 4 years better than most of the other suckups is an admittedly dubious one), so he can say what he wants. In Texas, coming out in public takes some measure of courage. You do seem to be awfully sensitive about the subject, though. Is there something you want to get off your chest?
I think it was kind of a dick move to spring it on his parents like that. I mean I hope they still love and support him but did you really have to put them on the spot like that by grandstanding?
I'm with Scruffy Nerfhrder, I just can't get into celebrating someone's orientation. If it's natural than it isn't worth celebrating any more than my heterosexuality.
Put in another voice with Scruffy and Serious. Homosexuality is fine. Being a drama queen is annoying.
Government survaillence is good for us
The caption under this douchebag's picture is "Glenn Sulmasy headshot"... if only.
surveillance* even... grr
Huh. I wonder why a professor at a military school might write an article about how great the national security apparatus is.
You missed the best part:
He is the homeland and national security law fellow at the Center for National Policy in Washington and author of "The National Security Court System -- A Natural Evolution of Justice in an Age of Terror."
He's a career parasite whose host happens to be the eternal warfare state.
One has to look no further than the disruption of the New York City subway bombers (the one being touted by DNI Clapper) or the Boston Marathon bombers to know that the war on al Qaeda is coming home to us, to our citizens, to our students, to our streets and our subways.
Except that they didn't actually distupt the NYC subway bombing with information from this program and they totally screwed up and missed the Boston bombers despite being told by the Russians they were dangerous.
The 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act means time to grandstand and bitch about women not making the same as men.
"For anyone who says 77 cents on the dollar sounds pretty close to equal, I say, your math is bad," Obama said this morning. "You wouldn't like it if your vote only counted in three out of four elections." The President's language here is interesting, given that he's essentially arguing that having the right to vote ? which was something women didn't have at one point ? is the equivalent to not getting paid what you should. Only this time, as Obama notes, please remember that, "This is the 21st century. It's time to close that gap."
Unfortunately they don't seem to understand the economics of employment, opportunity cost, etc.
well, my vote counts in 0 out of 4 elections, so 3 out of 4 would be an improvement.
I eagerly await his speech on the sexist gap in lifespans.
"Over the course of her career, a working woman with a college degree will earn, on average, hundreds of thousands of dollars less than a man who does the same work. Thst's wrong."
Except that men and women generally do not make the same type of career and lifestyle choices, so characterizing it as "the same work" is a rather large lie.
The logic escapes me.
The proposed solution? Federal money!!! Yay! Not one damn comment saying that maybe they shouldn't be buying so many damn potato chips if they can't afford the cheap, effective and easily accessible Walmart birth control.
Could it be that only a few Americans need contraception (those sexually active, of child bearing age and who do not wanting to conceive) and everyone of all ages love chips?
My God people are fucking stupid. And beyond that, I thought birth control being cheap was a human right, you know Sandra Fluke and all. So shouldn't them spending less money be a good thing? Would this clown prefer it be more expensive?
Wait, they aren't even arguing that we should give our own people contraception? They're arguing that we should give every woman on the planet free contraception? Also, .03% of the federal budget is $1,140,000,000 by my calculations. We're spending a billion dollars on contraception in the developing world. How many goddamn condoms do these people expect us to give them?
And their biggest fear seems to be that brown people are multiplying too fast. How enlightened of them.
What do 222 million women in developing nations around the world have in common? They all want access to modern contraceptive.
They wouldn't want clean water, a better place to live, a VISA to the US or anything. No, all they really want is contraceptives. Oh for the love of God.
Projection rules.
I like when white liberals tell us what 'all' the poor brown people in the world want.
They should check their fucking privilege.
I like when white liberals cheerfully volunteer me to pay for the stuff they want the poor brown people to want.
I like when white liberals tell us what 'all' the poor brown people in the world want
Especially when it's fewer poor brown people
Now, now, you're not supposed to say that part out loud.
well, let's see
1/2 of the population is male. Really, one of the only, popular, things we use are condoms.
Not everyone believes in contraception
A vast majority of children don't need contraception
People who aren't sexually active may not need contraception
Married folks don't necessarily need contraception
Women who have undergone menopause and men and women who have had surgery to prevent reproduction do not need contraception
Are they specifically potato chips or all chips?
Plus, if you eat enough potato chips, it's kind of like contraception since no one will want to sleep with you anymore.
Sizist
Rule 34, my friend.
"Ask the U.S. meet its fair share to meet the demand for contraception.
Support $1 billion for international family planning."
Go to hell.
Hey, because we haven't had enough things to spit sparks about today. Here's an asinine article entitled "These 13 toys are so wrong it's hard to believe they ever existed"

Aside from the AquaDots turning into GHB, I can't see a damn thing wrong with any of those toys. Jesus, we're turning into a nation of pussies.
The suction cup arrows kicked ass.
I remember having some Spider-Man from-the-wrist shooting suction cup darts when I was a kid. Damn those were cool.
Yes they were. And amazingly, I didn't kill anyone with them. Go figure.
My brother had those. I got stuck with the Incredible Hulk ones. They still rocked.
Those paled against the Spider Man web shooters that shot silly string.
Untrue. Mine had strings attached so I could shoot stuff and then reel it back in. Can you do that with silly string? I DON'T THINK SO.
[Shoots gobs of silly string into Epi's waiting mouth.]
I only got to use them once, because the refills were as expensive as hell.
I had a real life, metal tipped, actually deadly bow growing up. I had one before I had a real gun. The worst we did was shoot holes in a neighbors siding and then had to work every goddam weekend to pay for the damages.
God I sound old.
I had a 12 pound bow that came with 3 target arrows. The most damage it ever did was when I let go of the string without moving my finger off the arrow. That fletching cut like a fucking scalpel. Otherwise, we had arrows bounce off cows, skip into rabbits, get stuck in cactus, frighten a couple of birds, and get ignored by a deer.
I totally, totally guessed Jarts would be the lead item. I remember wishing my folks would buy me those as a kid. Whichever kid got skull-perfed by them, he's still my prime example of the Fuck it Up for Everybody rule.
Yeah, Jarts always make those kinds of lists. We had jarts growing up. And you know what we did while playing? We made sure that we didn't stand in the area that people were throwing heavy pointy things at. This is the kind of common sense we had. I'm not sure what the libtards are talking about when they say "common sense"
The average libtard is terrified of his own lack of self control. In this case he's worried he will impale someone.
My buddy had a house with the basement 2 levels down opening from the back of the hill the house sat on. We used to play over his house. Good times...
You should have seen the stuff they *rejected:*
"Ow, these physics equations hurt my brain, I guess I'll just ask a man to do them for me."
"Ken thinks I talk too much, I better shut up and make him a sandwich."
"The burka fits me like a glove, and it's so stylish!"
"Sky Dancers were recalled in 2000 after the toy's propellerlike wings spun into eyes and faces, teaching kids the lesson "aim away from face" the hard way."
That's generally the way kid's learn.
"With a magnetic force that was matched only by their ease of being swallowed, Buckyballs were recalled after it was discovered the magnets could tear the lining of intestinal walls."
The photo shows it was marketed as a desk toy. How many adults were swallowing the damned things?
They were always marketed only to adults, and they always had prominent warnings not to give them to children.
The government shut 'em down anyway.
Fucking assholes.
I'm guessing they had 1,4-butanediol in it. Your body metabolizes one of the alcohols to a carboxylate, bam GHB.
The Nuclear kit pisses me off. Kids got more radiation from a chest xray for TB.
Officer Joseph Weekley is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the May 2010 death of Aiyana Stanley-Jones, who was asleep on a couch when police raided the house.
A "civilian" who burst into that house brandishing a gun while looking for the same guy over a debt, or fender bender, or a woman, would also have been charged with involuntary manslaughter (and allowed to plead it down to "discharging a firearm within city limits").
No double standard.

Wow are the Google people assholes.
I'm not even sure where to begin with this latest Robert Reich article:
But [Federalism] raises three troubling issues:
First, it leads to a race to bottom. Over time, middle-class citizens of states with more generous safety nets and higher taxes on the wealthy will become disproportionately burdened as the wealthy move out and the poor move in, forcing such states to reverse course. If the idea of "one nation" means anything, it stands for us widely sharing the burdens and responsibilities of citizenship.
Second, it doesn't take account of spillovers -- positive as well as negative. Semi-automatic pistols purchased without background checks in one state can easily find their way to another state where gun purchases are restricted. By the same token, a young person who receives an excellent public education courtesy of the citizens of one states is likely to move to another state where job opportunity are better. We are interdependent. No single state can easily contain or limit the benefits or problems it creates for other states.
Finally, it can reduce the power of minorities. For more than a century "states rights" has been a euphemism for the efforts of some whites to repress or deny the votes of black Americans. Now that minorities are gaining substantial political strength nationally, devolution of government to the states could play into the hands of modern-day white supremacists.
There's lots of other idiotic caricatures he says in the article.

I'M A TRENDSETTER YO
You had herpes before it was popular!
That and MEGA-AIDS.
You can begin by throwing it in the trash. Reich is a moron.
Robert Reich is saying in thousands of words what MArgaret Thatcher observed in a single sentence:
Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money.
This is hysterical. It never occurs to him that the same applies to nations. If we make a ridiculously generous safety net and the rich people move to places with lower taxes, then the middle class in America will be forced to foot the bill.
Reich is basically admitting that the only way for socialism to work is with a global government. Good luck with that, Bobby.
STOP GIVING THEM IDEAS.
Don't worry, they already have them.
SOON.

Nothing new there.
Socialists in the 19th century knew that their crappy system would not last unless they enslaved the whole world - hence their worldwide revolution bullshit.
Americans spend more money on potato chips than on contraception
I eat more potato chips than pussy nowadays, I regret to say.
There's an opportunity for some synergy in there, somewhere.
Salt & Vinegar?
You'd be a rich man if you found a way to make a chip taste like pussy.
Miss Iowa is missing left forearm
She'll be all right.
[golf clap]
Please tell me her nickname is "Righty"
Why do "decentralization" and "alternatives" always equate to "race to the bottom" for people like Robert Reich? Does he go into a frothing rage when he goes to the grocery store and sees more than one kind of macaroni and cheese?
Holy fuck what a pernicious little shitbag.
No one NEEDS more than just generic mac and cheese...
You've got it all wrong. The argument is that having more than one type of mac and cheese is inherently inefficient and unfair. You've got multiple types of unoptimized approaches to making the stuff and some people are going to get Kraft while others have to settle for the Walmart generic. It's not fair.
Patriots now have two QBs people hate hearing about all the time:
http://boston.cbslocal.com/201.....tim-tebow/
Great, another spot where Timmy will end up with no playing time. Like they're ever going to pull Brady off.
And the Jets are sticking with Sanchez. Yay. Have fun having another terrible season, Jets.
No playing time is the best possible situation for him. His fans will keep pretending he could be a competent quarterback, and he won't have to break their hearts by actually playing.
If he can't improve his game in the offense that made Matt Cassel look studly, then it'd be tough for anyone to claim he has "potential" and just needs to be in the "right situation."
I already mentioned this upthread.
But again, damn. Fuck this. At least I've got the Bruins.
Matt Birk of the Baltimore Ravens skipped out on meeting Obama because of the use of the phrase "God bless Planned Parenthood" at one of his fundraisers there.
My guess is this athletes political beliefs on this particular issue won't be given very much discussion, much less celebration by the same people who were loving them some Chris Kluwe and Brendan Ayanbadejo all year long.
All I can hear about Tim Thomas is that he skipped the Bruins visit to the White House.
I remember a big deal being made out of that, actually. However, Matt Birk is one of the most intelligent athletes around, so my guess is he gets ignored.
The last thing the media wants is to put a microphone in front of an athlete who might make a coherent case for the pro-life position.
Thomas was a big deal because they knew he wasn't going to talk about it, so they could just portray him as a crazy redneck conspiracy theorist.

Ha! My wife will love (by which I mean hate) that one.
They were winning the FISC court cases with the help of magic candles.
I was disappointed by the Game of Thrones finale. Seasons 1 and 2 ended with real holy shit moments, but Season 3 ended with a totally unearned feel-good Dany moment instead of picking any one of the number of holy shit moments from the book.
Why not end with a certain someone finding a certain someone's corpse and the shocking thing that follows
The Red Wedding was pretty much the holy shit moment for this season. And there are plenty more holy shits to come next season.
Anyone get the twist with Yara/Asha hopping on a boat to the Dredfort? WTH she's going to sail around Dorne and back up the whole continent in the winter? The river that leads to the Dredfort might be frozen over by the time she gets there.
The Greyjoys don't seem to have the best tactical minds.
The Asha storyline has completely departed from the books, and not in a good way. I have to assume they meant she was going to sail to some place on the west coast of Westeros and go inland from there.
Why not end with a certain someone finding a certain someone's corpse and the shocking thing that follows
I'm pretty sure by her lack of an appearance that they eliminated Stoneheart to simplify storylines and save money. It's not like she's amounted to much in the books yet, and they can improve the Brienne arc if they massively rewrite it.

They are 400 pages away from your suggestion. There are 4 other semi-to-major characters who died in book 3 before your suggestion.
They should have ended with the Red Wedding.
They would have lost too many viewers permanently if they gave them all off season to dwell on that.
I thought getting to the next wedding would have made it up for some people.
The always amazingly unself-aware Paul Krugman.
ahem:
"In other words, I don't think we should ignore the evidence that some people always want higher rates more government spending, and just keep changing the justification."
Jullian Assange, George Zimmerman, and now Microsoft.
Stop making me defend people I don't like. Cause this shit is completely ridiculous.
But rubbewr stamps are jsut cool liek that.

I'm telling your mom. Eek, a penis, part 3,447:
Best part:
So when a guy sends pics to others that were sent to him by a naked girl, it's rape culture. When a girl sends pics to others that were sent to her, it's fighting rape culture? Have I got that right?
I have no sympathy for any parties in this article.
That's why it's so great.
