Barack Obama Backs Wife: She Feels Like a Single Mom Sometimes
First lady previously said as such before correcting herself
During a wide-ranging interview, conducted hours before the Boston Marathon bombings, President Barack Obama answered questions about gun control, North Korea, immigration reform, abortion and various other topics. At the end of the discussion, Obama also spoke about life in the White House as a husband and father to Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11.
The president gave his wife tremendous credit for her role as a working parent, particularly during his campaigns. He laughed off a question about the first lady's recent gaffe when she accidentally called herself a "busy single mother" before quickly correcting herself and laughing off the mistake.
