Scott Shackford Interviews Gloria Romero of Democrats for Education Reform
More and more, the perception that school choice advocates are anti-government conservatives or religious fundamentalists is proving to be wrong. Particularly in urban environments, more and more progressives and leftists are discovering that lack of competition and lack of accountability is harming the education of children, especially among minorities and the poor. Reason 24/7 Associate Editor Scott Shackford recently interviewed former California State Sen. Gloria Romero about her involvement in Democrats for Education Reform and her battle from (and with) the left to push for better education choices.
