Earthquake Strikes Southern California
No reports of injuries or damage
LOS ANGELES -- A series of small earthquakes centered in the lightly populated desert rattled parts of Southern California Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Most of the quakes, including one measuring 4.7 magnitude, were centered 14 miles southwest of La Quinta, Calif., and 23 miles south of Palm Springs, Calif., but were felt over a wide area of Southern California.
The quake occurred within 20 minutes of each other. There were no reports of injury or damage.
