Big Bird Joins First Lady's Anti-Obesity Campaign
Er, has anybody noticed that he's kind of fat?
Big Bird is back, and first lady Michelle Obama has got him.
Mrs. Obama and Big Bird -- fresh from his new-found fame during the 2012 election campaign -- have filmed two public service announcements encouraging kids to eat healthy and stay active.
The spots are linked to the third anniversary of Mrs. Obama's Let's Move! program.
This is Big Bird's highest profile gig since the election, when the Obama campaign spotlighted him in criticizing a proposal by Republican Mitt Romney to cut the funding for the Public Broadcasting System; Romney said his plan would not have killed Big Bird.
