Missing French Commando Presumed Dead

Failed rescue attempt in Somalia also led to death of hostage

France's defense minister says a French commando who went missing during the bungled attempt to rescue a hostage in Somalia was most likely killed during the operation.

Jean-Yves Le Drian says "everything leads us to believe" that the missing commando was killed. Another French commando was already confirmed killed in the operation, as well as the hostage, a French intelligence agent captured in 2009.
