According to poll results, in recent years conservatives have tended to become less concerned about environmental issues than liberals. Two sociologists have now published research suggesting ways to "spin" the moral emotions of conservatives to get them more worried about the environment. Reason Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey observes that while the researchers declare that their aim is to help "improve communications" between liberals and conservatives, their implicit goal is how better to propagandize conservatives into accepting liberal environmentalist policy goals.
