Dolly Parton Denies Rumors of Lesbian Relationship
Told Nightline she's bonded with Oprah over the false rumors though
Dolly Parton denies rumors of a romantic relationship with her childhood best friend, Judy Ogle, in an interview with ABC's Nightline.
The country music legend says she and Oprah Winfrey have bonded over the false chatter. "Gayle [King], her friend, Judy, my friend, they just think that you just can't be that close to somebody," says the entertainer, who's been married to Carl Dean for 46 years.

I think you misspelled relationship. It’s an old rumor too, though the denial is new. I keep wanting someone to sell a novelty set of salt and pepper shakers modeled on Parton and Chaka Khan, since I think they are the same height and have the same dimensions generally, from hair on down. I think Ms. Khan was also in the rumor mill on similar charges. And then they could release an album with a new recording of “I’m Every Woman,” kind of like the Leon and Mary Russell “Wedding Album.”
