Flights Canceled Over Europe-Wide Austerity Strikes
Strikes across the continent
A 24-hour strike was in operation in Spain until midnight tonight while in Greece, protests are due to take place this afternoon. Strikes in Portugal and Italy were also planned, with protests expected later in Belgium, Germany, France and Britain.
EasyJet cancelled 26 flights within Europe, mainly to or from Spain and others, including some Greek flights, were re-scheduled.
